Thanks Aztec! I actually have not done too many movie studies lately, actually 0. i will be doing some more this week though...gotta keep up with the studies. i look forward to your next post on your SB.
Nephilim, thanks dude. i honestly am surprised that you remembered that i had a SB on this forum. good to hear from you...see you tomorrow.
epias, thanks dude. as i mentioned before, your vehicle stuff is awesome. i really am in awe of ppl that can do this stuff so well because it takes me forever....and as i see it, my mech stuff could always be better. this concept artist is a bad ass for anyone interested in vehicle/automotive design....http://www.danielsimon.net/
sanest, thanks dude. i will check out your SB tonight.
designboot, very surprised that you stopped by. i have been meaning to comment on your SB esp. with that ambulance sketch you did....amazing.
more WIP....re: the ongoing female warrior, most likely a WIP til the day i die....still highly unsatisfied.
train study from underworld, hand and a face(no ref) wedged in.
Your work is looking real good. Keep it up.
Great sketchbook, makes me feel like a beginner.
I most say that when you use references your work is IMO alot stronger. Perhaps using some reference for your 'created' fantasy pieces would take them to a whole new level.
my sketches here... http://conceptart.org/forums/showthread.php?t=92997
www.sevans.co.nz , visit them or a puppy dies!
thanks daraf. appreciate the comment
sevans, thanks for the comment. i should use more references in my fantasy stuff, but i try to test myself to see if i can do it without. but find myself frustrated, so your comment is spot on and i will use more references when starting a piece to see where it takes me(further).
more brain fart sketches when i am really tired...little mermaid queen realizing she cannot sing worth shit caricature portrait and big head boy, little fishing buddy.
Well, those are Hogarth hands for sure. Seems like your pencil work is your strong area, you have good observation and the pencils show it. I like the movie studies, but something in most of them is lacking the realism. I'm thinking wither color choices or values need tweaking. Keep up on those studies man!
I love your pencils.

Bojee's Monkey Brain
Great sketchbook,I love your style.

thanks chaotic knight...much appreciated.
inouye, thank you.
study and wip(hmmm, looks a hell lot lighter/washed out on my pc than my mac...calibration differences are worrying me)

random char portrait sketches
Great studies I'm liking that your style is so flexible; it varies from one influence to another. I think I spotted some balancing issues in your faces but really I don't have any crits. Maybe you could finalize your work more, and get some practice with really making everything as slick as can be? My only real suggestion
thanks kakapoopie. appreciate your comments very much!
thanks rhineland. thre probably is some issues...these are just brainfart sketches generally. but it is something to keep watch of, of course
thanks codetonothing. you have really great work.
