BlackSpot Those were neat videos and helpful. I never heard of the program Serif Draw. I have been using illustrator.

Jewish Symbol was provided by the client to use in the sample roughs, and reference.

Nice sketches. I like the suit design. Good aesthetic use of form language, line, texture.
I would like to see more development of some of your sketches, even if its just a 'second
pass' to push your sketch brain a little and practice fleshing out and refining initial ideas.

    On the Jupiter Son design:

I like the use of the Hebrew symbols and the hexagram, but they are kind of getting over-
powered by the fetus graphic. I like the fetus itself as well, but there are some other bold
dark shapes and lines in there that I just don't get.

Maybe strip it down to just the fetus and his headphones, maybe the dark shape underneath
him, which kind of anchors him. Maybe also bump up the boldness in the circle/hexagram, symbols.

Remember that a logo should be immediately and unequivocally clear and recognizable at
about the size of a postage stamp a couple meters away.

Hehe, unless its purely for web, which of course always change the rules of design a little bit.

    Keep it up man!

produce its richest ideas. Given total freedom,
the work is likely to sprawl.”

BludHund/Black Spot I think you guys are right I could have refined it more during the sketch stage. I kind wish I could stick to maybe 2 elements, having a more focus theme rather than too many ideas. This logo was for a band for four people. Everybody wanted to have their say. The fetus portion could have been tighten up a bit more though.

    Another pin up.

These pin-ups are getting really good.

Also logos need to be recognizable when photo copied or faxed. So many lose their impact that way.

Homage to J. Howard Miller "We can do it" poster

Black Spot Thanks. I think you are right the logo should be able to reduce well on a fax or business card.

    FightingSeraph: Thanks I will.

Speed paint of some landscape. Rough animation in progress. I have been fooling around in flash. Drawing in that program is much different than illustrator vectors, I'm still getting use to it.

I wonder how you'd get on with DrawPlus. Funny how vector programs are all slightly different. I like the girl with the crocs and the cat. Not sure the animation is working that well yet.

Black Spot mmm...That DrawPlus program has vectors for flash animation, edits like photoshop, a mix of paint brushes like painter. It seems to have a bit of everything. My hand drawn animation are a bit choppy. I'm pampered tweening in flash or armatures.

Alex Eh Thank you for the 5 stars, that's always enjoying.

Here is the finished rough cat animation and sketch for another illustration.

I like the clean style of your pinups. If you'll make any more an interesting thing would be push it to a fully rendered painting, but still keeping the big clean shapes.

If it's still current to give any feedback on that jupiter son logo I think one with no gradients is the way to go. I like the fetus symbol but the jewish star feels out of place, more pasted in rather than integrated. Full black no.1 on pic 2 is my favourite otherwise. Sorry if I missed any requirements you may have written somewhere. Just a bigger fetus symbol along with the text would look better to me anyway.
    Keep up the good work!

Animation looks a lot better. I've never explored all the functions of DrawPlus as yet. I know some people who can do great stuff with it.

Nice start to the illustration - give her some sexy hips and not such a tiny waist.
