    dude that last one, breathtaking!!!

    love the sky, and surroundings!

but take another look at the anatomy, because it looks a bit wonky.

    but superb peace!!

    Awesome knight dude!
The Horse´s feet look a little static but the colors are great.
Looks somehow as any "old style" or something, but that one is major kickin ass!

Nice update! I love the sky and metals of the knight very much, but the horse don't have the same energy of the other elements of the scene, I thinks it is little stiff especially in the lower part and don't recive the same amount of light of the knight. But anyway great colors!

    re

Sorry for delay here is an art dump. I just finished up an figure drawing final, it was great class.Final version of the character Ascend for climber.com and a quick sketch from ref for the knight.

TheGnoll: You flatter me. Thanks for your support!
Dreamworker: Thanks. I agree the horse doesn't have as much energy. It would be really cool to study some horses in person. I have been getting a lot of feedback to tweak the horse and useing refs. I was thinking I should add some motion blur maybe that will help?
Pascallo: Thanks I tried to make it painterly and used umber like colors.
oma: Thanks, a lot of the anatomy on the cartoon figures are a bit wonky. I'll try not to exaggerate it as much stay closer to realism.

Kronos: Thanks, it's great to explore new concepts half the time...it's curiousity that keeps me going...haha. The dragon drawing was done in charcoal then I took it in photoshop with embosss to make it pop up...Couldn't fool you.

Here are two figure drawings I thought that one guy had a unique face. Has anybody placed Ragnorak Online? ...boy that game is addicting ><. Here is a painting of knight doing battle with a demon. He has +2 str which I don't think is going to help out too much.

you know what rocks about your sketches .............. its that you have like towers of faces going around what ever you draw .....there is so much going on that one has no choice but to just stop and really pay attention to all the faces and details ...very cool

I was going to say that you should fix the values on that knight, but then I saw that you already had. So I have no crits. Sorry!
You have a very diverse style.

I don't have any crits, this is an amazing SB. Great pencils and anatomy studies. All those skulls done at different angles turned out really well. And whaddafuxup with everybody on CA being all anti-anime? Your anime stuff doesn't seem to have hampered your ability to draw in many different styles; I see no anime influence in your life studies whatsoever. Anime is awesome, peoples. Go watch Ninja Scroll and Akira, I command you!

    Keep up the good work.

    Watch out for Piranhas

    thx

HunterKiller: Thanks still progressing on the painting. Say that icon looks familar aside it from being from Starcraft, you lurk at polykarbon.com?
Teh Gosu: Gosh, thx. I try to explore a lot of subjects. Mmm I been drawing for the past five years? But it wasn't until I saw a lot of artist from communities like this one that really inspired me to keep pushing.
Listing: Thanks! I been looking at your sketchbook and your figure gestures are great, so fluid.
iceman478: Thanks, a lot of the face there a look a bit off to me...so instead of erasing I keep going...but shhh don't tell anyone.
Snarfevs: Thanks everybody has been giving some great feedback to improve.
AmontilladoAg: Thanks man. Horse sketches would be nice. There use to be a farm like 20mins away from my house with all sorts of animal, even had a vine yard..but then they turn the land into homes. : / Dang wish I was more into drawing back then.
Nquyet: Thanks. I had a lot of help on the knight with the horse piece from the critques on the forums.
mustafacetin: Thanks, I'll keep up the face studies.
Piranha Clan: Thanks that means a lot to me. I think it helps it has helped me to do studies and fun stuff like anime to keep be both going. Ninja Scroll rocks!!!

Here are some quick bg com sketches and a character sheet turn around.
Here is the final the knight and the demon painting, I think. I tighten some of the loose strokes but hopeful not taking away some of the motion. Thanks for your patience.

Thanks for all the helpful comments!

I just read your message on my sketchbook …and thank you so much for the compliment on the pencil work… granted I don’t draw as much as I used to anymore….but still its fun ….as for your other comment on ppl getting confused…well I have some reservations on that………….. a painting weather on canvas or on a digital canvas is almost the same…..everyday the line between paper and digital is become less and less …if people have an issue with digital painting I think maybe they shouldn’t be on this site…most concept artist use digital media to create there amazing master pieces… you give a guy photo shop or painter and he still wont even be able to penetrate the surface of what a real professional concept mat artist can do on a computer…same thing with a peace of paper …..If people get confused that’s on them……you cant hold everyone’s hands and walk them through it….even u have some digital work on your sketchbook which by the way VERY COOL….either way thanks for the compliment and keep up your amazing work

Iceman478: Thanks, you flatter me. I agree how the boundaries of digital and traditional mediums are blurring boundaries. At the end of the day it's skill that wins the day

Here I try to explore the concepts of "Less Means More." Where a few brush strokes suggest more in the form. Ref used for the tiger. Some anime no no posted along with attack of the giant spiders O_o. I used painters palette knife to paint most of the figure and armor for the female warrior. I explore some of the concepts in both anime and something more realistic.

Dude! the last version of that knight on horse looks better. And I love that last knight vs. daemon thing. Great colors, perspective super nice! One small crit: maybe the knight should have overlapped the beast so that the perspective gets clearer. But other than that, awesome job!

    re

    iceman478: Thanks
Dreamworker: Thanks for the kind words.
Pascallo: Thanks for the tip for the perspective. I like that idea to overlap the characters to help with the perspective, I was thinking that everybody would assume too much that he would be mushed too fast. Giving a bit of distance gives him a fighting chance.

Andrew Loomis studies and anime...no no... A chibi sorc summoning a water spirit. I always have soft spot for fantasy based themes.

hey man, i missed a lot of excellent updates in here!

the anatomy studies are good as usual. The digital sketches are very nice, you're improving really fast with digipaints.I really liked the knight pic (altho for some reason the horse is kinda blurring into the landscape imho) and the last duel pic.
About stuff in post 140, i dunno if they are personal or for a portfolio, but for the next one i'd suggest to clean 'em up a bit (as regards presentation).Orthos are simple and well done, but in the perspective view of the door you kinda mixed different views together, and the window and the plate are out or perspective. In your orthos i'd personally suggest to avoid doing a 3/4th view cause its quite useless, or you could substitute that view with a well rendered 3/4 view, correctly placed in perspective instead of orthographic view.Damn, dunno if all this talkin' is any use to you, but whatever.

keep sharing, you're improving really quickly, and your hard work is really paying off

    ciao!

Awesome work dude. No offense, but the friend you were talking about sounds like a bitch. yeah, don't listen to that kinda shit. Art is art when its more original. Its just another voice you have. Just because you go to art school, doesn't mean you're a better artist. Although, there are many artist that are dope as hell, coming out of art school. sorry, kinda contradicted myself but you get the picture. anywho, looks like you've done a lot for yourself man. Hope to see more. The life drawings are awesome. stay up.

TheGnoll: Thanks! The building and landscape were personal pieces. I agree the perspective is off and messy in the sketches. Actually they are pretty poohy, haha. I'll keep working at it. I appreciate the feedback on the an othro. So instead of doing othro 3/4 do a full on rendering which sounds more like fun.
timothychristopher: Thanks. I think it's good to continue to experiment and voice your own form of art. TheGnoll was just trying to be helpful. I learned a lot looking at everybody's sketchbook, thought process, and the priceless feedback. Rules help provide guidelines but can smash the imagination if taken too seriously.
DreamWorker: Thanks, glad you like it. ANime makes people happy?
Kronos: Thanks man. If you have any tips of perspective please share.

Ref used on the male models, some random sketches for fun.
