Grandmassa Mr. Spect Thanks I was lucky to draw from a good model. I'm still working on faces.(Thanks for the tip on the video embed)
HumbleEgo Thanks. I agree my figure drawing should more loose or natural looking. That reminds me of video I just bummed into while reading your comment

More gestures for me and less forced lines me >.< Hopefully that can stop the stiffiness.

    Fumble:
Thanks, there's never enough cool fantasy weapon to go around.

Walid D Thanks, I'll try to come up with more polish characters and designs.

Ragnarok Online Fanart, Wild Rose and Dancing Gypsy.

A jealous wizard turns a local bard into a Wild Rose(The Cat). Thinking it would put an end to his handsome good looks from stealing all the pretty ladies in town. Little did the wizard know it wasn’t the bard’s good looks that were charming the ladies, but his music.

I studied some belly dancers to get better gestures in these.

Medusa Gypsy painting in progress. I got bored of 2d cell-shading, trying for more painterly.

Random speed paint, that went "meh" I like the colors though.

    Braintree Thanks I'll keep posting.
Grandmassa Mr. Spect Okay, another update on the Medusa painting.

    Here are some sketches.

The painting of the dragon was for an Entry for Imaginism Contest http://news.deviantart.com/article/77159/, to paintings in your style using Bobby & Kei's Art as reference or to color.

I painted one of their dragons. I selected this line work from their gallery. http://imaginism.deviantart.com/art/...ings-123945036

    Wish me luck.

Haha, that last piece is hilarious. I think the challenging this is keeping the stylized look of the dragon and implementing it into the environment and watermelons. But if u pull it off, it'll look awesome I'm sure.

Hey man, those weapon studies look really hot, as well as the mini boss no.3 - thats the best choice in my eyes, too.
How hilarious is that last dragon-kinda-thing. Awesome! The houses in the background look a tad too quick drawn, or is it not done yet?
    Keep it up!

    re

Teundeboer Thanks, blending of styles was a bit tough but I glad it worked out.

Grandmassa Mr. Spect Thanks a bunch! Kitty Roar Roar

AsaB Hehe, yea I don't think "flowerly" is a word but that would be our secret.

    Pascallo
Thanks. I agree the buildings in the back are a bit rushed. Almost like cardboard cut outs. Time to work on perspective.

    Here are some perspective practices.

Fully colored medusa painting. Animated, but it compressed funny, hopefully it's not too grainy.

Medusa promised the dancing gypsy she wouldn't turn her to stone by staring at her directly, if she liked her performance. So the Gypsy danced away with lavish gestures and rhythm. Medusa was pleased with her. However Medusa didn’t mention anything about being snake bitten with the stone curse. Medusa liked her dance so much she wanted a souvenir.

Whoa! Fantastic updates--this one is wicked! I *love* all of the fine hatching detail that you did on his skin. The houses are looking great and must have required a lot of patience--the only thing that jumps out is there are a couple of awkward tangents in the first one, specifically the roof line on the left merging with the edge of the house, and the diagonal line of the roof above that block of windows jutting out on the left merging with the vertical line of that wall (sorry I can't describe it better). The perspective is probably right, it's just a bit of a stumbling block to the eye. Oh, and that Medusa and her strategically placed snakes are sly ones, aren't they?

JailHouseRock2 Thanks, I'm still working on my perspective and hopefully get to be more creative with it. Industry Designers have awesome line work, I wouldn't mind getting to that point.

courtyard Painting that was fun. Oh, you are right the tangents are a no no, I'll try to avoid them so the line work won't be as confusing. Hehe, the snakes.

    Grandmassa Mr. Spect
surprised she turned to stone O_o

Here is some more perspective practice. I drew my room. Gibson study. Not too sure about the female painting in progress.

The last comic is funny. The way she is holding her head
I really like the perspective images, you seem to be able to grasp that pretty well. Also teh meduse gif is great, poor little gypsy.

The last comic made me lol Haha, just fantastic.

Oh, your perspective it so solid! Please tell me some of the inked ones are digital or I'll cry myself to sleep. I mean it!

I really enjoyed the Medusa .gif! Well done, it's really smooth and doesn't have that somewhat cheap flash feel to it that many .gifs suffer from. Love it!

Thanks, I'm trying to get all the perspective studies I can get right now.
Janos I love taking some of Gibson's studies slightly out of context to make the drawings more interesting.
AsaB Yes they are digital. Some of my perspective is still messy for my taste, but I'll keep going.
courtyard Thanks a bunch, I see you working hard faces. I been putting that off a bit. I should give that a go too.

Some practice with graphic design and layout. The images I purchased from photos.com. One design the fruit, not sure which too looks the best.
Some gestures from the mind and posmaniacs.com

Fumble: Thanks I'll use the hammer and saw one. Wasn't sure if it was too goofy.

Grandmassa Mr. Spect Thanks one day I should give cow a try. I always see you have tons of fun doing it.

Here are some perspective tutorial from artist plastic shard, I gave a try. He tends to like skewed dramatic angles.

Druid concept sketch, I really want to start getting my pencil up to level to make more cool concepts. Right now it's a bit messy for my taste.

Wow--lovely perspective studies. Are the artist's tutorials available online? I'd love to check them out. I actually really like the loose, gestural feel that your main druid concept has, especially since you're just beginning to get a feel for him. Based on your environmental work, there's no doubt that you can be precise and controlled when you need to be--something perhaps left for later stages of development? He's looking wicked so far. I'm eager to see how far you can push him...
