Here is a art swap I did for Yasuri, fan art of ragnarok online. I tried to speed paint everything.

excellent work with all those loomis/gibson studies, the "boss monster" looks very promising and the alien concept looks really well done

    keep 'em coming!

    Lookin' good dude.

Nice colors on the Ragnarok painting.

Jellyfish alien is cool. Maybe you could incorporate some tentacles into the design, I just think that's logical since it evolved from a jellyfish. Tentacles are always cool.

Grandmassa Mr. Spect: Thanks. Lately I been trying to paint up to 80% for speed and see how that goes. I personally try to relax and loosen up a bit.

    TheGnoll
Ragnarok Online, Yea is still loads of fun. They have weird character designs and even a pooh pooh hat. The "boss" monster is starting to shrink, I might have to demote him...haha. I'll post some more polish thumbnails of him soon.

HunterKiller_ Thanks that's a good idea. I'll think of some way to incorporate some tentacles or have an idea for it to come out when it's in defense mode...or something.

Some quick sketches, markers, another speed paint with a monster from Ragnarok Online.

Grandmassa Mr. Spect Thanks for the encouragement. I hope my style developments more into something useful.

HunterKiller_ I just added the tentacles as requested. Nice idea on the female alien.

Quick gestures and mini boss concept. Which seems to look the best? I'll try to think of some weapon

    re

Grandmassa Mr. Spect: Okay I gave your mix a shot. "#2 as the base with #3's armour from the neck down an #4's collar shoulders an arms with #2's head w/ the helmet of #3 "

With last part "w/ the helmet of #3 " I just removed the certain spike, because it seem too spiky for my taste. I been going around asking which monster they like. So far they like your combination the most. "#3" Thanks. The gesture program I used was posemaniacs.com It's fun.

Lots of nice studies. I noticed you draw anime/manga stuff which is pretty rare over at CA.

I do draw manga stuff but hardly upload such work over here. Do you have any favourite manga artist?

Nice amount of studies, and I like the alien.
On the miniboss, I vote for #4 with more black in the face area, and #3's shoulders.
For some reason I really like that first picture in post #309.

Grandmassa Mr. Spect You gave some great tips. I wouldn't have thought of that.
hueyyeng Yea, we should have more anime! Band together
    Janos Thank You
vinay vikram singh Thanks, I'll try to do a polished illustration of it soon once the weapon is selected?

Some anime, monster, concepts on weapons.

Two handed swords, singled handed sword, great axe, one handed axes, great butcher blade, butcher knife, pole axes, and bladed trident. What seems to suit monster #3? Feedback welcome.

that monster in the red is wicked' an your dead right about anime to me its about simplify'n things to one line very minnamal but still effective things like ninja scroll 'the origainal' are a great fusion of anime an traditional for the weapon i would try to imagine the bosses stats is kinda like that brute game thing' does he have super strength is he really fast a twohanded sword of that calibure could be weilded by a strong man but might not be as agilial w/ it' the axes could also represent brute strength because they would be mega heavey ..think'n like that may help you deicide but i think they could all be great choices

Grandmassa Mr. Spect I agree, some sort of heavy weapon will be a nice fit. Here are some of the polished versions. Along with some gibson and faces studies.

Some kinda cool stuff here, but then we come to the lively hell that is weapon design. I don't pretend to be no expert, and I dun know what game you are designing, but how comes so many of those who attempt to design these things think that the designs they used in the Conan films is more accurate than real designs from out world. For sheer functionality, I think you would go much farther by looking at some weapons from the real world. That beings said, great work on those

Grandmassa Mr. Spect Haha, sexy blue women. Nothing like blue pencils to get the drawing going.
    Mischeviouslittleelf
I see what you mean. A lot of the fantasy world weapons looks cool but not too functional...like a flaming sword...not sure how to store the little guy safely away after the fight. It would need an off and on switch. I'm just working on personal projects. Always wanted to make weapons.

There's one really neat show called the "Deadliest warrior" on Spike tv. It takes to warriors and test out their weapons and skills. At the end of few test the run a simulator to see who wins.

Animated Gibson study and more polished weapons.
