I don't doubt that there are going to be some serious fan boy rants about this film like "OMG Bay you ruined my childhood!" or "I hate the style, what they should have done is blablablabla."

This is a popcorn flick with robots that turn into semi trucks and tanks, is it going to be worth $10.00, absolutely, is it Gone With the Wind, probably not.

I for one can't wait to see this movie, and it's redesigned robots. When I was a kid I never liked the Transformers that much anyways. Robotech was way better.

Not to be some Transformers-fanboy-whining-geek, but from what i saw i think they seriously messed up optimus with that gay paintjob, if that even was him that is!

I'd expect from Conceptart more concern for art though.

    *Galactus*
Hoh, wow, dang. Man, that looks really fantastic. Thats like exactly how a redesign for live action movies is suppose to go.

Wow, two movies I fully expected to not like both have very good trailers.

Oh yeah, and that shot of Galactus is from the trailer for Marvel: Ultimate Alliance, not Fantastic Four.

looks good, altough all that detail
and shine doesnt look like it actually
    transforms accurately at all,

i mean there are tons of great mecha designers
and robot illustrators out there, but only a few
    can design a transformation well
    a transformation that looks believable
not like transformers movie trailer :-(
wich looks to me like a blur and then
appear like a car or truck or helicopter collage . . thing

    transformers supose to transform
sure the toys look stiff but they did transform

    check this awesome starscream

some of my fav designers are:
    shoji kawamori
    shinji arakami
    yukimi kimoto

    just my 2 cents

Yeah, I realized after I posted that was probably from a game, but the FF movie will have Galactus in it.

I second that. I hate to gripe before i see the film but half the fun of transformers was the amazing way they kept the mass and bulk right. Masterpeice prime is astounding in how it does that.

Oh well... the toys for the movie are looking rad. so i guess the designs make sense in the end. this movie will be worth the addmission i have no doubt.

I knew it was too good to be true... Geez, all these trailers makes me not want to see these films... Spider-Man 3, Transformers, Fantastic Four Part Deux, The Good German (though I will STILL see this)... The only one that appeals to me is 300, and I'm still skeptical whether the novelty will last after 20 minutes (Final Fantasy: The Spirits Within anyone?)...

I was giddy like a little school girl when I saw optimus prime. Especially when he made the transformation sound...

    Holy... Fuck...

One thing though, I still say I'm not too crazy about the way Optimus looks. I know they were going with more true-to-the-original kind of look to him, but that's exactly what makes him stand out way to much out of the other bunch. I would have liked to see him a bit less shiny/colourful and a bit more like the way they made the bad guys there: they look awesome! That's probably just me though.
The Boulder takes issue with that comment.

not to be contraversial but it is going to be near impossible to top the animated film

I mean you have those so cheesy they are hilarous power rock ballads, especially the one that also featured in Boogie nights
the the characters animated as they orginally were
it has Orson Wells as the planet
    Eric Idel is in
    Megatron transforms into Galvatron

    and Spoiler*the death of Prime*

    or better yet http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LfhvQAPujds

I was hoping to find out that Starscream's there!! And I heard the transforming sound. I LOVE that sound! I hope they didn't put it in JUST to put it in. If it fits...man, I'm seeing the movie with even more excitement!
