Great stuff.....your imaginative peices are very nice (esp the morrigan one), but i'm in love with your life studies. You make it look so easy to catch the essence of someone with very few lines. I'm having a jealosy attack

I'll definately be popping back in!

Got a nice stylized look to your art. You rendering is just superb, and your imagination has to be far greater than that of my own. Great work and keep posting.

wow, that last one has really great movement going on with all the hair flyin' around and what not. Not sure about the skin tone color though, makes her look a tad zombieish; but its all up to you though. I cant wait to see what else you have to post.

i use the same exact pens, haha and i do notice that the ink tends to build up on the tip, so i usually make a random scribble on the side of my drawing to wipe away that excess...keeps it from smearing on my hand if i touch the paper. i never thought to use the blots to add to my work. i usually use the Medium RSVP, sometimes the Fine(check out my sketchbook if you geta chance, hint hint).
you have some really inspiring stuff here. i like the Cloud pic, especially how its unfinished. also your hatching and use of pure black tones in your still lifes is refreshing. you really know how to use the whole page. i'm gonna keep an eye on this thread.

still lifes looking great as usual, hehe, do any of the people you draw from life ever give you weird looks? I can't seem to raise the courage to let people realize I'm drawing them so most of the time I draw people from the back.

    Haxxxor> tyvm !

Wake101> well a lot of these people are my classmates - if they don't like it, then ... oh well :] the others, its not a big deal really, i dont stare at anyone hehe

    bhanu> haha ty

Skeiff> ty, a lil old black ballpoint.. rsvp pentel, nothing special... i think i got a pack from walmart.

Here's some new stuff: the first i mustered the strength to paint traditionally (acrylic on gessoed paper, 40min), but i kept it safe by going monochromatic, yeesh, i will be trying more of it this semester! ; ; ... the second a skull with red conte crayon on newsprint --- aaand the rest are normal random people - enjoy

    Tigermilk> well ty!

Envisor> thanks, i definitely utilize whatever knowledge of the human form i have when trying to keep things simple in order to give out the information that is important !

    Flaskpost> thanks

    asoir> tyvm

Chermilla> haha well good? thanks for the visit !

FactorZero> most of these people are drawn in class while the teacher lectures the first however many minutes.

    Here's a tiny update.. the first 2 aren't really sketches, and although they are done in a sense because they were due as an assignment, I still feel they are a work in progress. I need to get better at the digital painting skills! So I took several hours of my life this morning to fiddle through painterIX for the first time.. and put out the little painting down there (yikes 45 min! haha). Which I stupidly saved really small -___-; sorry all ;;

Good sketch book one thing to note, your colors can be a bit too saturated to pure for what you have going on with your characters they compete with the central focus which is the character itself all in all very good stuff. Just thought i'd add my 2 cents.

Such amazing work! I can't get enough of your sketches. The way your work looks after you've applied color- the underlining shading is so wonderful.

    kingshaj> wow, you're too sweet !

kawakaze> thank you, i'd like to see a finished piece as well! just kidding, i'm getting there. ty for visiting

ashrumm> thanks for your critique, i really need them! although i kind of like bright colors, perhaps i should tone them down a bit, i'll experiment more!

    Sway West> thanks! :]

OK! Here's another update with a few random things - cute bunny and ape for class, figure sketches (about 5-10 min each) and something I'm working on, but I'm just going about it the way that seems to be working for me, lol.. I'm not sure if there is a better way to go about it, so please, people speak up and help me out! /smooch

The last is something I'd made a while ago, but couldn't figure out how to finish, and the flat colors are in photoshop, but now I'm in painter trying to figure things out. No references, sorry --; but I think my main concern may be color and texture.

    Enjoy and thanks for looking!~
