Why don't you have it mounted on a base or anything? Granted I just started sculpting, but doesn't that help out a lot?
hah yea it really does but.....eh..i dont know. i was too lazy to find one.
o ya and this
(along with two other pictures which ill scan up later) is the basis and concept for this sculpt.
arright so im almost done an heer are two more pix from where im at rite now.
kk post again soon.
well i think im pretty much throgh wit this one ...cept for his hands. here ar some higher quality pics.
and thats it thank you for your time.
and this is the other piece of CA that this sculpture was derived from.
by the way can someone please tell me how to make an image show up next to the name on the main screen.
you have to upload the image to CA if you want a thumbnail
I think it looks pretty good when viewed from the front and slightly elevated, but awkward from other vantage points, especially the sides.
The sketch's stylized anatomy hasn't translated well to your sculpt. It looks like his hands will start nearly at the knee. The strands wrapped around his arms, while I think they are well done, exacerbate the proportion issue by making his elbows look even lower.Originally Posted by poop on a stick
The shirt folds are decent, but they don't look like they're being affected by the straps at all. Also, the pose isn't very exciting or dynamic
don't want to bore you, so I'll stop. do anatomy sketches, keep sculpting.
It's coming nice when looking the details but i think the proplem in proportions goes way back to armature. Again nice job on strands and folding. Hope you get it finished.
Hiya Poop! Y'know, for completely infantile reasons, addressing somebody as "poop" just makes me laugh.
Anyway, I just wanted to chime in and tell you how much I dig this guy. The proportions don't really bother
me so much as I picture this guy as some sort of post-apocalyptic, mutie dude underneath the suit. If you
were going for an average man, then yeah, his arms are a bit long but other than that, I like his overall
appearance a lot and I think your skills are definitely improving. Keep up the good work man.

I think it looks like poop on an armature...he,he.sorry bro couldn't resist.
Dude ,like Troyboy said,if it is supposed to be a mutated race ,there are no guidelines as to how it "should" look.
Good work man.
It's better to be remembered as the sand in the gears and not as the oil.
If its mutated then it's offcource ok. BUT it may help if you place the joints in right position and build armature by using human proportions on bg.
It is the illusion of the final vision what I like is your honesty to your vision and the fact you took the time to show us all. Was the alien built on to proportion? Nah I don't think so. Thanks Poop On A Stick
