UPDATE_12/21/06- thanks everyone for the welcome this has been great
i look forward to continued postings in the future,
but for now since it was requested, just a few pages from the
Amazing Screw on Head cartoon. Thanks for the interest
and if you want more of the model sheets, most of them will be on my
sit when it's finished.
just thought i'd finally put my toe in the water here
i've long been a lurker and my buddy Scott Fischer
said it's time to share
i'm currently the character artist at NCSoft LA Visual Studios
working with an amazing crew of guys, but before that I worked
in illustration, comics, and recently did the model sheets and additional
character design for Mike Mignola's Amazing Screw on Head cartoon for the Sci-Fi Channel
i'd thought i'd post a few pieces here and also in a thread titled Artists at NCSoft, so check there for more if you like
now on to the pics and thanks

I have always liked your work and these new pieces are very nice.
I hope you will post more
Amazing stuff! Every one of them. Great sence of movement on the one with the horseman and the tentacle.
the second one is VERY cool cause of all the movement going on in it

THE DOUG ALEXANDER???
You were one of my art heroes when I started out as a pooper 10 years ago!
So weird to have you post on here! WOW!
Awesome to see Doug Alexander posting. The stuff for the Starwars RPG book was amazing.
WOW! I love what u did with that last picture (keeping parts of the background blank)...Awesome reference of speed in the second one
In general i love the feeling of looseness in your works...I can feel that u started them all from scratch out of your own imagination. Ur mind is a powerfull thing, i hope we get to see more from inside ur head. U seem to be a famous person? What stuff did u work on if i may ask (wich comics?)? I'm european so im not too familiar with the american graphic world...
Anyway, welcome to the board!

Doug it's great to see you posting here. I'll look forward to more. So cool, just so cool.
I remember you! I met you right before the Comic Con last year at a big lunch with Chris Anderson and and bunch of others. It's great to see your work again, and I especially enjoyed some of the Magic: the Gathering cards you did. Please share more work whenever you can.

Bout time Doug! I've been seeing your coolness for years, now it is getting unleashed on the legions at CA and I couldn't be happier.
I know a lot of you know Doug's work, but if you are new to it, enjoy!
Doug has just about had the single greatest impact on my work. I can't even begin to express how much he has taught me about drawing and design sense.
Pay very close attention to this thread.
And you can totally see the influence of his work in yours. Amazing. Love the colors and simplicity of the designs... Thanks for sharing.. I hope you stay and share lots more art with us...Originally Posted by FischDoug has just about had the single greatest impact on my work. My God has a bigger dick than your God.
Lovely stuff. Very solid. That first pic I know from somewhere, I just can't put my finger on it.
Look forward to seeing more from you.
Pleasure to see you around here. I too was really taken with your work that appeared in White Wolf books some years ago. You and Bradstreet defined a style that I could not refuse to follow for some years.
Awesome to see your new work and how different the work is. Small world. And I do believe we met at one time in San Diego. Think Rob Rapier introduced us while hanging in the street away from the show.
Anywho. Glad to see you here,
Mother of jesus?!!
Beautiful work, very inspiring!

Wonder if any of you MTG illustrators can drag Jarvis over here? Beyond the fact that he's an excellent artist (although I think his MTG work drasticly excede's the quality of his D&D work for some reason), couldn't hurt to have the art director of one of the largest purchasers of illustration floating around the boards.
hey doug ~~
