Evui I was considering you for my vote and I just want to let you know it doesn't mean your piece isn't good, just because you got so few votes. I know how it feels - sometimes I feel good about my piece and it does lousy in the polls. Just wanted to tell you, you deserve more votes. I think had you made the image more dramatic, with bigger size contrast (the fore-most should have been much bigger) and a little more color or simply value contrast would have made this a real contester! Good work though!

I really loved Jakkas piece but saw no way that his creature could be credited as a snowflake dancer; its more like a snow blower. In the end I felt that AyaXiac's piece really nailed the Snowflake part, and so had to cast that way. I could see the creature being just centimeters large and floating down with other snowflakes.
*hug* Thank you so much, I really appreciate you giving me feedback. I really wanted to know how I could do better, and you really helped alot. I do agree, I really should have made the foreground larger and more dramatic. I wanted the pic to be cold, but I noticed I made it too cold with no balance. I'm still learning everyday ^____^ Thank youuuu!!Originally Posted by dragon4lunch
Ai and I voted for Jfwalls because he took a risk with making the sky orange in a blizzard and placing it in a completely different existing world. It's a sweet design, I really love.
AyaXiac also very very nice, and very close. You should have alot more votes because I love how hardcore you made a creature out of snowflake dancer XDD. Great job.

Everyones submissions had such nice texturing and rendering done on them.. I really need to learn how to apply that to my art ><

Have you made your own brushes? Those help so much with texture, but I'm not all that good with them yet, I just learned how to make them XDOriginally Posted by AyaXiac
And just like what dragon4lunch told me, the same applies to you. It's unfair somethimes ^^;;;

Haha thanks. The truth is I only got into "digital art" and all this drawing on a wacom a few months ago. I have zero idea how to make my own brushes D: The most I can do is play around with the default brushes already in there... heh.Originally Posted by Evui
I guess I'll go look up a tutorial and see what I can do
