I think your shuttle has alot of potential, (unsure about the circular rear speed fin as part of the design). If you can change your angle of the shuttle so you see more of its underside, then you can convey its entering space atmospher better

A colelction of space re entry renders, are collected in my small portfolio here:

    which might be helpful!

    Keep up the good work!

    My first finnished model!!!!!

Thank alot Koshime for your proffessional advice! I will most definately study some off your work to try and to pick up some of the painting technquies you use for special effects. I will also redesign the drop ship.

(wow a real pro posting on my SB. I am going up in the world') lmao

This is a little bit of maya pratice for uni. Our tutor gave us a already designed space ship and we had to try and model it. As you can clearly see it is one of a naboo fighters from star wars. I had trouble constructing the cockpit and droid so I have left it out. I guess I can laways go back to it when I become more confident with maya.

I know it isnt my own vehicle design and its not an amazing model but I am still chuffed with the outcome, espeacially for my FIRST FINNISHED MODEL .

    'alrite Cha!'

This is a painting for my group project. We have decided to design a RPG paraody. Yes this is a painting of a Chav and yes in our game you get the chance to kick some little chavvy ass! Totally dumb idea for a game and I can tell you it wasnt my first choice for a game. lmao

This is a speed painting. Well speedy for myself.
The sketch + painting took me 5 hours. I am getting faster lol

    Oh yeah no refs either.

Hey Andrew, sorry i haven't been about, been busy as fuck.
Great to see you've been busy.
Right, these recent paints, Practise your hands and faces, they are the KEY part of showing emotion in characters. That looks like the same hand on both
Enviroments standardly get less saturated towards the distance, your choice orange is pretty high sat and really warm which draws the eye off the main figure.
Skin is really nice, though his ears look like they merge off his head.
On the hoody guy decide where you want that horizon line.
And if they are both being front lit in blue, front light the rest of the BG in blue.
Um, just some things to think about.
BUT you are making really good progress here mate. Some really good stuff coming through and your paints hav improved tonnes already.
Gimme a shout on MSN if you want any instant crits.

Yeah I will definatley take that on board. I would change them but I have no time. How ever I will think about those areas of improvement for my upcoming designs.

I know for a fact I need to study anatomy closer. I really want to because I know if I go back and create devoted anatomy studies, my work would improve dramatically! Thus bringing me closer to my main goal in life. How ever I have been told to pratice with perspective and 'simplish shapes'

In due time I will devote most of my spare time to anatomey studies. I promise.

(i could squeeze in a few studies at this moment in time)

you seem to be losing yourself in the complexity of light and colour... step back a bit and try working with one simple direct light source and see how u get on with that first. Well done on the models too.

    Bad Ass Space Adventurer

Luckly my group decided to drop the chav rpg game. Thank god for that even thou we have lost some cruciel time.

Our new idea aint hot but we have worked some fantasic mechanics to spice up the rather generic fps gameplay style.

This is the main character for the game. I drew insipiration for this design from the Gammaton Clerics from Equilibrium. Imagine this dude kicking ass to, Bulls On Parade - Rage Against The Machine.

    Andy Kerr - Art

I had trouble getting the correct perspective for the right arm.

This is one of the NPC designs in the game.

This was a very quick peice. Probally that quickest peice I have done yet.

The Sketch + Painting took me 2 hours all together.

LOVE the perspective work! Your landscapes and ship designs are really cool!
Keep up the studies. You could use some planar studies of the face, they could have more volume.
Check up on Loomis or Bridgman. Cool fellas!
