Great to see your year end review! You *are* the man - not only have you contributed a lot to the Anat Forum, but you've also been super patient with my webtardation - can't thank you enough for building my site!
Great to see all your stuff in one place my friend!
Cheers for '07

Great to see you here Joel
all the best in 2007
all very beautiful pieces. my favourite would have to be the guy being shot through the head, and the portrait on the textured paper (is that traditional or digital with a filter?)
awesome, the first couple of female nudes and the skulls...what did you use for them?watercolour?
awesome stuff. the last piece of the minataur is my fav...overall niceness!!!!
Great stuff man, I love those anatomic drawings/paintngs.
I am working on skin at the moment, and maybe, if you can bare some time, could you look into my thread ?
Thank you for sharing your works.
I'm finally back from the workshop... I had a great time in Seattle! It was a great pleasure getting to meet many of you and also hanging out with so many talented people
This is my obligatory post for the year to recap work Ive recently done or finally took the time to upload to my site. I have to say it wasn't my most productive year and probably one of the least motivating times Ive had as an artist. Most the work I did was commercial and not worth posting but I did manage to squeeze in a few personal projects. I'm heading towards a more experimental direction and wrapping my head around 3D as I begin to understand the complexities of digital sculpting, which I am very excited about. Considering I just got back from the CA workshop and halfway through the Cesar Dacol Jr. workshop at CGTalk, 2008 is starting off for me on the right foot.
Thanks again to everyone for the kind words and those who took the time to email or contact me throughout this past year. Talk soon! - J

Great to meet ya buddy. Your brother in law is the funniest Viking Hick stand up comedian I have ever had the pleasure of overdrinking with at a party in the Space Needle of Seattle on a cold winter's night at a Workshop for conceptart in 2008 with a boatload of art nerds. Cheers!
Sup homie, haven't chatted with ya in minute. Nice new collection of work. How's life treating ya? Holla at me when you get the chance. Thanks for sharing.
Loved your work ever since seeing your beast workshop in IFX 13. Your figurative stuff has always inspired me to draw more, alongside Rebecca's. Great post here, man.
Another year end review! I swear the years go by faster and faster...
2008 was as busy for me as it was productive. Lots of article writing, a few interviews, and a whole lot of fun. I do have to say though, I am a bit glad this year is coming to and end. With the economy in shambles and the prospects of a new President in office, I'm looking forward to better days!
A big thanks as always for everyone who took the time to write and keep in touch. Shout outs to troopers like Chupacabra, GonzaloGolpe, beelow, Igorstshirts, Shanesart, Chris Blarsky, Pablo Garcia, Karolina Zatwarnicka-Fafara,the entire staff at ImagineFX and 2DArtist magazine, the gorillaartfare crew, cgsociety, and of course conceptart.org. You guys rock!
Here is a look back at some stuff I had fun creating over the last 12 months (hopefully I cant get my ass to do a little more work in '09!) - J

Maybe it was a good year after all. Nice pieces. Good work out of you in ImagineFX the past year as well. Appreciate the tips you give there. Happy New Year!
