i like the fact that you have a very in your face style. its very unique and hard to pull off imho.

the only piece of advice i can give you is when you draw cars, use wheel size to proportion them like you would use headsize on a figure. it works great

Big Broad Curves. i can tell your a transportation design type. your stuff has a nice flair. If your having trouble drawing faces do this: do a page or two of just headshots and concentrate on the features. when you draw the whole figure you usually have too reduce the size of the head to fit the whole body on the page. with just headshots you can draw bigger which makes it easier to concentrate on the small details of the face.

thanks for stopping by my sketchbook!

Dude, you got great style here! In each pic I see alot of fluidity and speed. Some of the figures in particular have a wonderful feeling of movement and exagerated poses. I think you should still try and improve on general proportions of the human body as there are a few issues here and there, but in doing this it will help you understand what to exagerate if that makes sense. I see alot of potential coming through.

    Keep drawing ^_^

Looks like a fun style when you exaggerate the shapes and proportions. But I think you could do better in your life drawing studies by really locking down the shapes and proportions. Nice stuff though.

Work on nailing down the proportions on those figure drawings before you worry about getting into the rendering. Since I was there yesterday, I know that guy was not that muscular. I think you're exaggerating the curves of the muscles too much, which makes the figure appear to have bulging muscles. I like the head on the dragon, but the arms and legs are a bit weird, like theres no bones/structure in them.

Nice uppy. I find that searching the lines too much is almost abit of a habit you'll bump out of it eventually. The key is to use different pressures of line (depending on what you want to achieve) rather than one solid line and also to use invisible lines that the brain slots in. Pressure of line can help show depth theres something else but I cant remember

Any chance you could point a light at your dragon or have it in colour? its just a little hard to read.

    Keep cracking! ^_^

I just happen to come across this thread. Man I love the way you’re fusing different styles together. I use to be a great “draw what you see” artist but a whack “imagination” artist. I always though that drawing from your imagination made for the best artist. So I say keep doing what you’re doing and just study the proportions and not perfect it.

    I'm loving the graff...

love the cars --- and that coming from someone not particularly taken by cars --- you've got a cool fast 'n yet blocky style that's hard to get around. Word!
All in all i dig what you've got going here --- will say that you are very good at the rendering, I'd work more on playing with lines as you keep up those anatomy studies (learning that myself) --- but already you've jumped bounds since your 1st post soooooo
    just keep posting

Hi!! Wow, your style is awesome, I must say! I really like how you pencil your works, and how your thick lines are so smooth!

I shan't be redundant with a crit. I agree with what's been said. But I'll say it's great that you keep working on anatomy and proportions! I will express my hope that you get some more colouring in, though!

I think her boobs are a little out of proportion. Seriously, good sketchbook. Your stylized stuff is really cool, and the cars are awesome. I totally can't do that stuff at all. I really like the octopi, too -- but I think they need some bat wings.

Keep it up with the studies! That's the hardcore stuff.

    ketchook!

    hey buddy,
    how are you?

cool that you've joined the group!! you are a great addition to the team!

dude, I love your style, so good ... your lines are really expressive and you've got a pretty good range of subjects that you draw (from a car design to a sea creature) really nice
    what do you study again?

just one thing ... I dunno, your "style" sometimes can hide some mistakes ... for ex, that girl with color (btw, impressive) she looks nice ... but, if you tried to draw her with normal proportions would you be able to do it? I am thiking on those advices like "you have to know how to draw figurative art and know all the ins and outs before trying to draw manga ... manga is just a variation" ...
looking through your drawings I got that impression ... but maybe it is just an impression

I saw that you've been taken life drawing classes, so you are really studying that but I believe your "cartoon" drawings are better that your life drawing hehe

    keep up and keep posting!
    best regards

Very nice works today!! Wow, I am LOVING the second one. The webbed background looks so freaky!! The insect is cool!

I like that first one as well, though I agree with brunopicinini about proportions. In fact, with the woman's left and right legs, that would certainly be a tough stance to be in. I'm not sure which way the right leg is facing, though indeed it's part of the style. Just something to look at when you work with the life drawings as well!

    Great progress!! ^_^
