Feerik's urban works // update page 5
Hi everyone !
Maybe some of you who were present at the workshop will recognize the pictures that i show here. Hip hop is my culture, i am impassioned by all the aspects and i make a effort to retranscribe the power and the movement of these. I focused on the subject since a long time, and recently i decided to undertake the realization of a book on it. I am currently in discussion with few editors, and i am very curious to have your feeling about it. Some artists push me to make this book (thanks Dan Milligan, Iain Mc Caig...) and i really want to make something refreshing and personnal. So, i hope that you will enjoy this first 3 pictures, it's just an outine of course...
The new ones (done with artrage)
The old ones

Damn, that is some wicked stylization. The rendering is fantastic, but what I'm digging most is the tension of the poses and compositions. Hot shit!

been waiting a long time for something like this
one thing though, i hope you're not going to limit yourself on bling bling, cheap women and violence. Sick and tired of seeing this everywhere, so i hope your work will also demonstrate the good, old vibes of hip-hop, you certainly got the talent to do so.

Hot damn! I LOVE that last one.
well all three are superb, as someone who still breaks, youve really captured the energy of the dance in the first one. Look forward to seeing the book, and I will DEFINITELY be buying a copy.

Feerix, works looking real strong man. Like the stylization going on! I'm also heavily influenced by hip-hop. More by mid 90's hiphop ya know. In your work it looks to focus on some of the more glamorous aspects of the culture. Maybe work in some of the hustle you have to go through to get a demo or the 9 to five you have to hold down to pay for the demo. Like fejs said I'd like to see some tribe called quest, common, the roots inspired stuff. Also on the first image there is a lot of white and I lose some of the focus, although theres so much cool stuff going on it it's not that big of a deal. Again man great stuff! Godd luck on that book.

Wow, really amazing work, I really love the 3rd one, the colors are great, so many differnt colors, and the paint splash looks great. I agree as fejs said you should do some stuff with the real vibe of hip hop, like the first one with the breakdancers and less of the violence related to the music.
But amazing work, I hope to see some more art from you.
