You have some good lines going on in here man. Some things that bug me though are the use of shadows; the edges are too soft especially where he casts the shadow on the trees. When something is casting a shadow and it's close to the object that it's casting the shadow on, then it has very hard edges. One that object moves away, the shadow gets a lot softer. Also the colors are really saturated. It seems like you used the burn tool a lot. Maybe try actually painting over the lines, a lot of areas are bleeding into each other because of this.

Like I said, you have some really great looking lines, the composition is pretty cool, it could use some tweaks, just keep working on your coloring methods.

    keep it up

    really cool... and is that?

hahahaha!! it is! look at the tiny fairy in the bottle!!!

    hahahaahaha!!!

but really, pretty sweet. besides the above comments, i like ow you retained the original base costume, and added to it to made something unarguably new, yet instantly recognizable. excellent

Look, you know what I mean. You take a bunch of people who don’t seem any different from you or me, but when you add them all together you get this sort of huge raving maniac with national borders and an anthem.

I think the arrows look pretty cool. They're hardly an issue imo. Who cares if they're not identical to every arrow in the world, the arrows in lord of the rings had strange feathers on them and they looked cool. Awesome work, glad to see he isn't just another copy but you kept the lcothing and idea down very well. Keep up the hard work.

When I hold my thumb up and cover Link's head, the whole thing looks so much better. The shape is a bit off, and his expression/features are a cross between a stoner and one of the Hanson kids. Great energy throughout the piece, though I'd give a little more atmospheric depth to the trees below him, especially the trunk just under his flying jacket tails. It looks like it's physically under his jacket at this point.

I agree. i actually did the same "thumb over face" thing as soon as I opened the thread.

I'm also a little confused about the "space" of the piece. I feel that I'm looking down on him and on the ground, but in the background there appears to be a mis-mash of large trunks and branches...and i just don't feel that they describe the environment well enough.

it's a really cool pieice though. i do like it a lot. and I love all the little details you've added. the fairy in the bottle scores you some kudos from me.
