Its Showtime! (A Grande DL) Updated 12/03**
Hey guys, just thought I would post some of the pieces that will be in my show on Friday, at 7pm. If any of you are in the Richmond area I'd love to have you out: there will be art, art, music, art, drinks, art, music, art... you get the idea. If it not success, I will be execute -
I'll be showing my paintings (which you can view in the "my blog" link), comic book work (which is in production) and some of my recent sketchbook pieces.
EDIT (12/03): scroll down for another teaser -

Love love love the line quality in your work. Also diggin the variety of genres and mixed media, and the subtle things like the attitude of that woman in your second drawing, the whimsical look to your steampunk gepetto, and the arrangement of characters in your cinematic montage. I'm pretty sure you will not be execute.

Had to save the piece where chick's jacket turns into all those creatures, your lines are so well done man. Looks like the show has some great variety in it and you are handling all of these different mediums well. Kickass work, congrats on the show.

Thank you so much guys for your comments and support. Everyone's individual opinion has given me great feedback, and I'm especially glad to hear my comic book characters are such a hit. Some of the names chiming in here is very flattering. I'll be sure to update this section with more pics soon. Thanks again to everyone.

Sb2 and Sb 7 are my favorites.
Is this some sort of student show?
Reminds me of comic art.

Thanks again: to answer some questions, this is a show I was chosen for that's being held in our student's gallery here at VCU, and it's a solo show. I'll throw out there I'm a senior as well. The show consists of my comic work, sketchbook selections, and my paintings.
I've wanted to get into comics ever since I was a kid, it sounds cliche but it's true. The comic I'm working on now is aimed to be out next spring, which I'll post more as it develops: this includes coloring the black and whites. I'm not limiting myself though, I want to pursue painting and other areas of art as well, that's why I'm always expirementing in my sketchbook. Thanks for stopping in and for the questions. Advice is always welcome as well of course.
