Great to see your creativity showing through the master studies. Is it helping, would you rate recommend it? Anyhow, Im speculating here, but perhaps theres a bit of weakness on hands? These recent drawngs could have stronger hands. And sometimes the transition from wrist to hand is too sudden. Though the characters youve depicted are rather flabby.
Did you mention you were gonna get some life drawing classes?

the machine "random junk" study is awesome! i can see every bit perfectly. i'm not sure if you've gotten into her hair on the portrait, but it looks a bit artificial right now. it could certainly use some strands sticky out and some frizziness.

btw, when you do orthos, do you include a lightsource? or do you just keep everything as detailed as possible for the modeller (ie, so that the shadows don't hide anything or make it appear different)?

That's it man, those studies look great!
Keep cracking at them, the impressionists are of course particularly good to study for lighting.
Also maybe check out Caravaggio, that man could paint light like few other.

    Looks good, keep it up!
and thanks for stopping by my book!

    Call0ps thanks!
WhiteC the forms are quite special, but I better take it to the bone soon instead & thanks
Jason Snair thanks, and I'll see you over at MoA
Lohan well given this is my first orto in almost a year I dunno, well I do, I use a general light, the form and details are what's important, and some weird special light is just pointless. & yeah, she is still WIP
    & Thanks.
DeMoon thanks buddy, I like your work as well
Brendan N the big C is in my master folder, I just need to get to him at some point
    & Thanks!
bhanu sent and invite, and thanks!
Envisor Thanks & she is sexy isn't she
Wasker brukar besöka din SB, och inget! jag menar ffs jobba! & thanks!
Sirio_Brozzi Thanks & given that I'm such a nubbin with ortos, thanks again
    Bendragon thanks
Tommoy never, or as leo said you abandon pieces rather then finish them, with DSGs for example I usually leave it when the subject matter feels somewhat covered, and it's readable, or in other words when I'm happy with it. With other pieces it depends on what's asked of me, personally I prefer sketches and hardly ever work more then some hours on a piece, and usually a lot shorter - which is a problem and I'm trying to change that. & thanks!
Idiot Apathy rawr, I.A. over here?! thanks
    TheGnoll - thanks!

cheap update, as I'm still moving, and have spent the day carrying furniture :/

    Hi there,

Nice stuff, I like the Zorn studies...what a master of light he was, always found myself struggling when copying. Nice imagination, clean closed lines. Sorry about your stars, seems you got targeted too! lol, lets look who still have 5 at the end of the week and well know the traitor!!!! ciao

You have an incredible variety of styles. It's like your work passes through a number of different styles as you spend more time on a pic, each - from uberspeedpaint to finished illustration - consummate. Do you run a sharpen pass on your pics? I can't tell.

    Anyhow, very cool stuff.
