yeah, I've been squeezing in time when ever I can, besides I publish most of the crap

    Anyway thanks!

    notic
Thanks, & some of the self portraits are life, and various objects - most other studies are googled

    kawakaze
thanks, & I do try - I liked the palett knife period a lot, now I'm in a pencil/soft brush period, and so far it's pretty tuff, hopefully I'll get over the threshold soon enough though

    Dreamworker
aye, that's one of my better from my old style November style - anyway thanks

    Dinodog_Jr
I wish she was, but no
    - as for how I do things? study people who do what you want to do, and do studies of life seems to work decent enough for me, so I'd try that

    Bendragon
Then you will probably like where I'm trying to go next then, with a teaser in this dump.

But I'm really rusty with line drawings, so it might take some time; during the passage wont you hold me

Well the first post is pretty old, the rest is pretty new - if you look at the 2nd post

Anyway I love your lines and if I remember right traditionals, but as I said you had problems with, as all do, with the digital rendering at first - but that's really shaping up on your part. & I'm somewhat annoyed that I can't draw lines and characters like that yet

    We all have our strengths

    MUNIZ Thanks.

Prophet Thanks, and I'll come around again as well.

The doodles got really rough, and I wish I had some more time to sort them out - perhaps tomorrow, but I rather make something new I think.

& after all the inspiration of the SB's I couldn't help myself and did a last doodle.

meh I did one more 15 min thingy, inspired by Bobby Chiu's Keith Richards drawing; besides drawing and whoring forums there is going to be far too little sleep tonight! (well that's what siestas are there to cure, at least in wintery dark Sweden)

Jove rawr, yeah don't worry about me posting stuff; thanks and I'll wander by from time to time.

Evil_Sloth my plesure, I agree about my problems with faces and anatomy in general and finally - thanks (I don't really like bots, thus when someone tells me simply to do a bot I prefer to throw the mechas etc away, but anyway)

TheGnoll Thanks, thought you are on bloody 16 pages

hurricane thanks, though I might do more on the same theme when I start doing landscapes again - I'm probably done with that piece

Bendragon you will probably approve of today's post then!

Hahaha! Way to come back from the lack of gesture comment! Some good feel of weight and mass in these studies. Also good to see the variation in the gesture studies too. Are these observed? Ive been trying out a gesture exercise called flash gesture where you look at the gesture once and try recreate it from your head. Theres also 'potential gesture' where you draw whats going to happen next in a gesture.
    Keep them coming!

yowzah! that sir, is alot of figures. and well done! I must say, all your dsg sketches seem like full on illustrations rather thn just simply daily exercises. and your color palettes....painting style.....: : if there was a good enough emoticon for raging jealousy it wouldve gone right there .
    cheers!

Hey man, nice work. Like those enviros a few posts back.
Careful for too high a conrtast - you start losing a nice focal point, and if you confuse the viewer you loose the viewer.
Really like the looseness with which you pack these.
    Inspiring stuff.

    ciao!

Holy crap man, awesome update. I got to try that crazy kind of gesture orgy myself, did you use refs or how did you go about it?

I used a combination, as I started with some images, and then morphed around with them - the first batch are almost all heavy reference images - the later are just plays on the old, or something new. Anyway thanks!

    mrgrumble
One of my first ever pose sections, I got carried away - but I really needed it so it was all good ~ anyway thanks, I've trained for speed for a long time now, sometimes forgetting plenty of the steps in a good process, but sometimes I do manage. Still trying to be more analytical of my process though, as a result I prefer the later DSGs a lot over the old - especially the older stuff, that which I didn't post here. Anyway thanks for coming by, and I'll be around

    fedezz
thanks, it warms my heart (every time!)

    Brendan N
Yeah, I'm trying to improve on that part of course, and the high contrast imagery I've tried as of late is more about trying to be able to deal with composition and focus then anything else - as I was getting lazy with my old style etc. If I can create an image with ink. and keep the focus and clearity, I should in theory be even better in my more favoured stage, well we'll see as time passes if I'm just think or if it's actually true! Anyway thanks.

    asoir
    Thanks!

    DanielC
OH I love your stuff! oh wait, you are in my SB thanks, and I've been trying to play catch up

    aedman
    Thanks!

    Shinryu
heh, the reason I started to move away from landscapes for anatomy was mostly that I felt pretty good with that part of my skill set, contrary to the human figure anyway - I'm happy that you and Hurricane above agrees with me on this. As for a continuation of landscapes? I'll probably go at it again soon yes, but as these are mostly studies I'll probably attack something new. Anyway thanks, love your stuff as well.

    designboot
Thanks mate! I'll give my reply once I've slept on it (it's getting damn late here in sweden, but you should no since you are in Poland)

    Jove
A combination of ref. and imaginary, I largely started with refs though. It was an orgy, and I told myself that I'd never draw an other human again, well not for some time at least - though for some reason I kept at it today

Anyway so what do one do for the weekend? for some reason I drew the poses yesterday, well the reason was that I was going to draw a character, and again and again I couldn't get the initial pose right ~ so I had a remedy, poses! So while drawing the poses my sense of the torso was horrible, so what do I do today? well the torso of course! I probably need to get a life

They more or less come in the order I drew them, the first are actually composites, but I didn't dare dump there here in their full "glory" ~ I really needed this session, and I feel the XP raining over me after a hard days grind, besides the cookies, cake, and coffee I got when I was away from home for some hours, oh and the cleaning and so - anyways tomorrow I'll probably actually draw some more personal stuff! well probably, the arms are bugging me to hell, so maybe, maybe...

& as always, thanks for coming by!
