mmmaaann love the thumbnail sketches, the paints, the pencils - everything looks real solid and (more rare) creative.

    More work

    Hey people

Its been ages since I updated, thanks for all the kind words, most of the work Iiam uploading today was done straight in to the machine, where time was a factor too, Iam working at Free radical in the Uk now so My drawing is mostly done during dinner while trying to devour a jacket potato.
This one started out as a taxi project Iwas doing with the other charachter artists.
The idea was that it was actually pan-dimensional transport equipped with a portal key that fires directly in front of the vehicle opening a gate for it to drive through.
Also its the first time I have done a 3d over paint, let me know what ya think

    cheers

Impressive. Damn. That's some imagination you've got there.

There's a lot of great things going on here. You've inspired me. Just love your melding of different forms, elements, textures into new figures.

Where did this sketchbook come from all of a sudden. I never noticed it before today.

    Keep posting.

    Shiv Karper

This Guy Is Shiv Karper, you might recognise bits from the earlier posts, hes pretty much the main bad guy from a young adults book Iam trying to write and illustrate.

I put him together in xsi while on My masters, now iam working witht the super talented bunch at Frd, i realise he is a bit shonky, but the feeling is right I think?

Man this stuff is amazing. I love how you can use bright saturated colours without making your artwork look tacky

As the pattern gets more intricate and subtle being swept along is no longer enough.

Awesome updates, Dan! Great variety - I especially like the recent all digi stuff. I'm envious of your colours and mark-making, my man. Are Captain Hook's bowels full of clocks?

    Looking forward to more,

    Ta, Nick.

my stars and garders! you are a master of many mediums sir. but mostly those pencil renderings just knock me off my feet. the amount of deatil you get into them and still manage to keep i lively and fresh is really impeccable~
