    Characters pencils

    Hello

    Here is a selection of the pencils drawed during the last period.

    The first pic is a character invented by me, I would like use her for a comic (I don't know when).

    The others, as you can see, are a mix of dc/marvel characters.

    Comments and opinions are wellcome
    bye

    those look great dude, they all look good but the one of the character you invented looks the best in my opinion. that background adds alot. did you use reference for these, and how long did they take to do? it looks like you put alot of work into them.

    Thank you

    Well, The first character (except for the harley davidson engine) and silver surfer are totally invented. I spent one week for each drawing (two for the first one). I used references for some particulars. For Wolverine and batman I modyfied some pictures of culturists. Wonder woman is a gymnast, i invented her face.

    I don't know if this is the right section to post this kind of pictures, but I would like to post some other pictures here in the future, and I think that they will be more simple, immediate and quick.

    bye

    the last two are my favorites, the earlier pieces seem over rendered, they lack any focal points because you gave them all the same treatment

    keep it up though and i hope i dont discourage you, i mean it all with well wishes.

    Have to agree, these last two pieces are my favorites as well. Very dynamic pieces. Keep up the good work.

    @dreamworker & stark

    I'm glad you like the renderings, but I spent too many time to draw them and maybe that I'll not draw renderings for a loooooong time. Actually I'm trying to draw simple characters.

    @davi & envisor.

    Well, That was the point. I'm working to dynamic pics and I'm interested to emotions instead of perfection. It seem that this is the right way.

    Sincerely in the last 2 pics I find some anatomy errors, but if they are not relevant that's good for me (sometimes, it's awesome to spend 3 hours to correct a finger).

    @Duq & raistling dark

    Thanks, I'll post new pics soon (I hope)

    Thanks to all, you make me happy

    bye

    Hello!

    New update after long time.

    I'll post 2 comics. I completed the first (batman vs joker) some time ago. I think that It's interesting how "things" changed between "old" comic and the new one.

    Bye

    Nothing more to say than please throw some color on these bad boys. I can't believe I haven't been in here for 6 months. It's highly embarrassing. Great work, great lines, now just kick me in the head in IRC and I'll come in more often.

    im not buying someo f your preportions. watch your hands to face ratios, for some reason, i could be blind i dunno, your hands look too small and the heads look too big. this is only at times. your light and shadows are done really well, and your story telling is very very good.

    there is a pannel in the batman verses the joker strip where it looks like they are gonna make out....i thought it was funnny. maybe you can laugh a bit at it too.

    any way, keep up the good work.

    Are you going to ink them?

    Slainte!

    those are some really good pencils, i'd like to see some color on them but right now it's awesome enough as is. Like everyone else has said your storytelling is very good and you're great at creating an acurate likeness of the characters.

    my only gripe is that some of the expressions seem a little strange, nothing serious just a very minor point. Overall extremely nice work!

    Awesome stuff. Nice retake on Wolverine, the second one looks kinda like Benicio Del Toro, haha.

    Also, awesome avatar! I love Dr. Strangelove. Or maybe i'm blind and not seeing that right. :p

    Thank you all for comments and interesting critics!

    @Stark

    Yep, I'll open a query with you in the chat! (joking) eheh
    I'm working to another comic (wolverine, script form House of m. ). There will not be accurate pencils, only colour.

    @Flipnastywebby

    About proportions: try to see the body in perspective. Sincerely I showed the pages (batman vs joker) to some publishers and they said that anatomy was ok.
    The main problem was storytelling (for joker and batman, dunno about Sandman) and the awesome time to draw. Some publisher are interested to give me jobs, but when I say the time to draw they say me to contact them when I'll draw one page in two days...So, next step is to obtain quality in low time.

    BTW..Oh yeah, I had a lot of fun drawing the pages

    I think that I'll ink the Sandman pages and I'll stretch some faces.

    @GusTheRobot

    Yes, personally I don't like some joker's expression. I tried to obtain better expressions with Sandman, but it seems that there's still work to do.

    @Reject-D

    I finished products when I worked on videogames. But this is an other story. Actually I'm trying to obtain work from comic publishers (but this is obvious... i suppose , and some of them are interested to see only pencils.

    @Emendez

    Thanks.

    @iMaiM

    Eheh. I was thinking to Benicio when I drawed wolvie, and it seems that I transfered my thought to the drawing.

    Yes my Avatar is Dr. Strangelove. I love Kubrick's movies )

    @all

    Thank you again and bye bye

    Really awesome pencils maurizio, since the last time we talked, I was wondering if you had a mirror nearby to use for referencing emotions, expressions-If you havent its great help. The body language works great in some of these. The one of wolverine getting a smoke is my favorite so far, really nice stuff. Keep it up! Ciao!
