Wow, some of those entries are unbelievable. The winner for the warcraft contest struck me as odd at first glance, but the longer it look at i the more i understand why it won.

God, some seriously inspiring stuff there.

I agree, a lot of amazing stuff, But I agree with the winner of the warcraft entry, although that was the the genre with the best artwork by far imo. Great job to all the CA'ers that entered.

Damn, there's some hot stuff in there I haven't seen yet.

Molten Core by Carlos Pardo (not a CAer?) is damn nice, I love the style.

Forest Of Cascade by Jung Jong-hoon aswell

Can anyone point me to a higher resolution version of "The History of Blood Elf"?
It's the 33rd entry in the Warcraft honorable mention section. Is there a WIP thread of that, by any chance?

Yeah, what the fuck. I thought for sure he would win something. MCBarret's awesome creature design didn't seem to make the cut either.
    I smell a conspiracy.

Nah he's on there, second from the left (I think) in the Starcraft section. While there are some kickass pieces in there, a lot were, well, underwhelming. Nice work Trev, Min, Smellybug, MC Barret, Marco, and the rest of you talented jerks. ;D

Yea that was by far one of the coolest pieces entered. A classical style put into warcraft. I wish i could have it poster sized.

yea i know, right? But this just goes to show....the rest of the world doesnt always enjoy the best and most scholarly arts...
for example, i tattooed a chick yesterday, she wanted a nautical star....so i did the star..but the star had a shadow..highlights...lowlights in blue, and REALLY POPPED off the skin..and she said

can u tattoo over all these other colors? and can u fill in these light spaces?

i said "but those are highlights"

she says...."ah. can u color em in tho?"

nomatter how good at art some of u guys get.. it doesnt change other people's artistic knowledge

It's hard to remember sometimes who it is your work is for. Ive seen some amazing work and when people see them, they can only say "she should have bigger tits" or something ridiculous.

    Heres an idea-
Why dont we start our own Entry thread? everyone who entered a piece can post it there and get their "pat in the rear" for working insane hours on their stuff. Shit everyone needs some recognition for their hard work-no matter what your skill level is!!
instead most of those pieces will go unseen for eternity(exagerating)
and I for one would love to see what you all entered...what say ye?

History of Blood Elf kicks so much ass, it's unbelievable it's only honorable mention.

It's probably cause it has boobies in it. Blizzard, being such a high-profile company wouldnt want to endorse that kind of SIN.

The biggest shock in this contest was that arshlevon's diablo model wasnt to be seen anywhere, not even in the honorable mentions.

Here it is, for those who havent seen it.
