I love the way you draw women! They have substance to them and aren't skinny bags of antlers with gigantic implants. Please keep working on the girl with the x's, it looks great!

So much goodness in one place is obscene! I am really digging the pin ups goons and the latter girls. Like mentioned before, I like the roughness that your paintings bring to the place.

Dorry to hear about th pencil skills..I'm the same way currently myself...*pat on back* Feel better?

Fantastic stuff! I love the texture you achieve in your work. Do you have any favourite brushes that you can recommend?

    Can't wait to see more,

I use oil pastels a lot with a custom paper. You just bring an image into Painter and press the "capture paper" button. Then you can get yer cool textures.

P.S. Warning though, there are hazards. Sometimes if the custom paper thing gets too full Painter will crash and not want to open again until you do this complicated thing that I can't remember how to do right now. (I'm so helpful). If this happens google for help. It has something to do with a file type call PAP. I think

    Ben Olsen you define badass

Thanks for your comment in my sketchbook, very humbling
I would really like you to dabble with traditional media.
Have you heard of "Coro technique"? He uses a lot of inks and washes and achieves great effect, Ill get you a link if you are interested.

I cant think of a better artist to do the suffering game, you are truly sick!

I know some badass artists that you would love
Flex Matthews( who uses coro technique) http://www.conceptart.org/forums/sho...killing.people

and killing.people, he is a badass artist http://www.conceptart.org/forums/sho...killing.people

I love the way you paint, cant wait for future updates!!

Great stuff, but may I ask, since im a n00b 1338 at painter, what brushes
are you useing , i mean, mainly ? not only your favorite once, but what your useing when you working =) Thanks for the once you mentioned anyways
*I know the brushes aint important, cause you probably could do the same things with any tool, im just curious! *

Great stuff Ben. I really like the way you do fleshy forms and secondary light. Makes me want to do something with that! I'm going to start experimenting with painter and it's good to see some stuff you've posted.

Some of you have been asking about my favorite Painter brushes. Here's a screen grab of Painter showing the brushes I use most.

The way I get the texturey look is with Oil Pastels and Chalk in combination with a Custom Paper.

tou- It's rad that I was able to inspire you. I feel pretty cool about that.

Jake- Yeah, the seconday light source seems to give my fleshy forms more dimension sometimes. Give it a shot.

    stalsby- Thanks!

You inspired me to try painter. I ussually use wacom with photoshop custom brushes. Or traditional media. But Painter has chalk and textures that you use in a very cool way. Keep it up.
