    Rust Mountains

    Hello again,

hmanafi - thanks alot mate, will drop a comment when I have the time

Mr.Delicious - yeap, and I did it again, I just can help it, I love making/playing games, that's the reason I started drawing seriously in the first place, i graduated from college as a programmer as a matter of fact before turning to graphics, it was all for one reason...making games, creating living interactive worlds (maniacal laughter and distant thunder). Not that I'm not adicted now to drawing and painting to, at least I gave up programing and music for that.

smokenmirrors - thanks, here are some more

yoitisi - thanks alot for the extensive comment, and thu sugesstions I'll definitely keep that in mind, but still have to work alot until I hit the right balance of things

Reject-D - thanks, I'll try and post break downs more often it's really educational for me to, it's really clear in which part of the process there are most issues and problems, and where I have to work more

Epias, sabin boykinov - thanks mates

josic - I'm not seeing you updating anymore !?

Pencilator, kodak, minjarr,Slav - thanks to you all, I hope I won't disapoint you

OK it's been awhile since I posted last, I've been lazy and tired most of that time, so it wasn't very productive time, here are few things I managed to do

Holy shit dude, your getting gooood!

The marines especially, although the values are little dark, its sometimes hard to read. But great designs and nice thumbs.

Great process on the environment. The first step reminds me of the black frog's work.
Watch out with the details, I think its a bit ovedetailed at some places. The second last step for example has a nice contrast of details on the ship and the buildings, it reads a little bit harder on the last step because there is so much detail around the ship.

Looking forward to the next update, love your work.

I'm loving those character concepts so far. Their armour looks great, especially all in black like that. I like the way you worked them up as sillouettes first in tiny thumbnails and then picked your favourites. That's a nice idea. I've not really tried drawing a lot of sillouettes myself, but I can see from your process now why it sometimes makes sense doing so in order to help you make the right desicions.

    Thanks,

    Cx

I'm starting to go back to the basics, and figured I'd ask this question first.

Lol, It sucks that I'm asian. I can't help it if I look like a million other people.

    Back back from the dead...

Hello, I'm back again, this time after almost an year . I've been trough some job changing, house moving and ocasional freelancing experiences that have prevented me from updating my SB trough the last several months.

First of all thanks for all the replys and comments mates, I'm really honored getting such replays from such a talented bunch. Thanks again!

So here are some thing I managed to do in between all the work and other ocupations, if I dig up more I'll post them later.

Some character concept sketches for a personal loosely based on folklore themes. Caution! Some seriously bad anatomy examples here:

    A quick study from photo:

Random speed, not the most successful one :
    Name: sep08_KingOfKings.JPG

Some undead zombie pirate/sailor character studies for an illustration, total mess but fun:
    Name: char_DrownedSailors_studies_01.jpg
Views: 2155
Size: 296.3 KB

My entry for the NVidia Artspace contest, I'm not very proud of it, especially the ugly thing in the upper-right corner, but it managed to get me in to the honorably mentioned "Hurrray!"
This one is called "The Pinescape Keeps"

Series of studies I did at some point, wanted to do more but got distracted with other things. It was still a nice educational exercise, to concentrate only on color, composition or volumes while I study things. I tried to do some detail studies also, but unfortunately with my A5 tabled it was a total faliure so I won't show them here (note to self: Buy bigger tablet!!! Use pencil for detail studies meanwhile!!!):

Here's a three-legged mutated leprechaun(not sure about the spelling)I did on the London sketch meet up I visited only once due to lack of time. Next one is a random thief char. Things here are starting to get really inspired by Joao Ruas, I can't help it I love his style:

Size: 186.9 KB Name: char_thief.jpg

Size: 140.9 KB

Some character thumbs strongly influenced again by Joao Ruas:
    Name: char_inarms.jpg
Views: 2090
Size: 129.8 KB

Some more recent random launch break characters:
    Name: char_gipsyandthehammer.jpg
Views: 2130
Size: 155.7 KB

Random birdmen and some helmets, just for warming up:
    Name: char_everdreamtofly.jpg
Views: 2061
Size: 123.6 KB
    Name: char_birdmenhelmets.jpg
Views: 2059

    Couple of heads:
    Name: char_sheepface.jpg
Views: 2037
Size: 73.3 KB Name: char_marbleeyes.jpg
Views: 2055
Size: 75.2 KB

    And finally...two crappy robot sketches:
    Name: tech_botbotcrabbot.jpg
Views: 2051
Size: 98.9 KB

That all I managed to collect for now, some of it is most recent some not so. Hope to get the chance to post again soon.
