    Some dragons and stuff

Hello, finally got some time on my hands and hit the right mood to collect some sketches and update the dusty ol' sketchbook.
Thanks all for the reply and positive comments, I already know you're bunch of really nice ppl, so I won't mind some serious critics, suggestions and ideas on how can I improve, i see tons of stuff I'm doing wrong or not exactly right and I bet theres even more I don't see. But enough of that here are the pictures. These are a bit old, some of theme even older than and year, but decided to share them with you anyway. Mostly thumbnails and preparation sketches for for illustrations I did for some D&D books.

You can see some of them brought to finals here in the finished section, as well as more details:

hey mang, great work. I think not unlike many fresh artists here... youre a bit too self critical. Youve got some mighty powerful and well executed pieces to your name that can stand along with the best of them on the boards.... so kick back for a sec and soak that in. I think we all can do the "constantly striving to improve" math. Were all there with you. (or trying to catch up...)

Various thumbnails - Railway station and SW stuff

    Thanks for the comments people!

OmertA - Thanks! "What canvas size do you usually work in?" Now that' s a though question, my canvas sizes are all over the place, but in general not big enough. If I'm doing something for print I either do in the same resolution it'll be printed in or up to double the final resolution. For the images I do for fun I generally gravitate around 1600x1200 which is the native resolution of my main monitor, but in general I try to stay around or above 1920x1080 (HD 1080). I general I try to paint in format which is around two times the format the image is intended to be viewed in. Hope this gives you a hint.

smokenmirrors - Thanks a lot for the encouragement and motivation man. That comment was right on the spot. Yes, realize I'm a bit to self critical(and it's not only self, I'm kind of critical in general), so much that I'm a bit afraid what will happen if I throw my critics at other people. Maybe that's why I haven't commented a lot around here, maybe I should try and see what happens.

Some exploratory sketches for a near future large railway station. Part of the test I did when applying for may current job at Splash Damage. There's a link to the finished concept at the bottom of the post.

Unfortunately they chose the worst option from the 6 . This is how I found in practice that too many options is not a good idea.

Hey man, these are excellent. I saw FF section, beautiful, yet they look so sketchy in some parts. Merry Christmas.
