...here comes more chapters from the epic struggle Me VS. The Pencils

First some character portraits, trying to sneak in some material variation(from 1 to 2) i my pencil rendering. Still got to work on that, maybe a still life study or more with object with big variation in value and materials will help. Will see.
Short background;;These are some members of militaristic, religious, technological empire invading the land of the more closer to nature more primitive natives. (influenced by folklore and history)
I personally kinda like the second one. Third one was supposed to be something like priest-commander or higher rank scholar. Forth one is just crap.

Ok this was part of the speed sclupt session some people do at work on a random topic, I decided to join with a sketch that I latter tried to finish at home. It got a bit rough and messy at the end.
Any critics and suggestion on how thing can be improved are welcome.

Earlier today someone was recommending that I try varying line weights, and now I see why! Your pencil work is absolutely stunning.

    Update ! Unbelivable, but fact!

Hello all haven't posted in quite awhile. I've been overloaded with work from the start of the year, and didn't have too much time for personal studies or work. I hope this will be changing. So here are some assorted sketches and studies showing really well how chaotic and unsystematic I can be, for now, later I'll try and dig up more stuff to post so stay tuned.

Some more organic machinery rendering practice, obviously not enough, need to try and flesh out more complete characters. Also to do some more volume studies form life, maybe some still life drawings would help, I never did much of these.

Messing around with some random creature thumbs.

I got a nice little architecture history book for a present some time ago, and started with the bold plan to go trough it and do some studies of most periods of element that I like. I ended up miserably with those few.

Couple of thumb I did from life yay ! Me drawin real architecture and not some crappy photos, I always dreamed to do that, unfortunately that was my only chance for the last several months.

Some feet stylization studies I did from some of "openanewworld"s drawing

Poses, there are never enough of those, It's all fine at this size, bu I HAVE TO rise the format a bit, I still feel a bit lost when I try to do something even as big as A4, to used to doodling messy thumbnail most of the time

Here are some people I sketch from time to time when I'm not feeling lazy, on the station while waitin for the train in a my tiny pocket sb
    Attachment 668877

Some more from the same sb(I've got the feeling some of them might be quite old)
    Attachment 668881

And finaly some mech doodles, I accidentaty foud out tha robot are fun, I might even develop an addiction...but more on that later

God damn sir! You have sufficiently kicked my brains ass. Absolutely love your pencil work, everything from your super rough pieces to your super fleshed out ones. Your character, armor, vehicle designs are top notch!

Thanks for the inspiration, i hope you update a lot more often!

Hey buddy, how are you? Remember NCsoft Europe? Well, they shut us down half a year ago, so yeah.. Now I'm glad you didn't join

Great sketches, we should hook up some time and have a drink. I am in London now.
    Take care, mate!
