http://queer.comicgenesis.com/d/20051204.html I found this comic, and instantly any feelings I had of inadequacy vanished.

Read all of it. I dare you.

I didn't think it was possible to be called an artist when you have nothing to say. It's like being a writer who publishes individual words as books and expects to be praised for it.

Today I woke up late. 10pmish. I'm trying to quit coffee starting today, (doomed to failure), allowing myself just tea, and my mood is... Well... So-so.

Sometimes when I can't take it, when I feel claustrophobic, when I'm in angst, I throw things. I avoid throwing them at the wall, and try to throw something ontop of pillows or soft materials. I don't throw things often. By often, I mean everyday. Although, once in a blue moon, I do throw things in anger. They end up safe most of the time... Except for that time where I threw a rubik's cube and the orange middle tile got severely damaged and became unplayable. However, most things do survive. I got into a habit... Felt good afterwards, every time.

On this particular day, I threw my wacom pen, after drawing a comic I hated, (drawing something I don't like later on happens way too often), meant to throw it on the bed. I threw too far though.

    It hit the wall.

At first, I didn't notice it broke apart, but when I peered over, life flashed before my eyes.

This was a Intuos4 pen. There are two things in the front that came off that goes near the nib. The rubber slid a bit, but not completely off. I grabbed these things and tried to put them back together, but one thing was missing: The button that goes on the side - The horizontal narrow thing that allows the user to left-click or right-click (changable in settings). I panicked. I tried searching for it on the bed. Wasn't there.

Then I proceeded to look under the bed. My mattress is actually on top of a stupidly heavy wooden board, which sits ontop of semi-heavy storage boxes...

... Because I'm just that ghetto. All right? Okay.

I moved the mattress, completely by myself. I moved the absurdly heavy wooden board, completely by myself. I looked inbetween the storage boxes to see if there was a long narrow black plastic that belonged to my pen. Nothing there. I looked back at my 95% fixed pen, wondering if I could work without it. In horror, I realized it would be a mistake, possibly, since some of the computer parts inside are exposed. I continued to search inbetween the boxes in vain, moving them, stacking them on top of each other to see more clearly, carefully cleaning away the dust to breathe properly...

... Nothing. Just dust, scraps, that I cleaned/vaccumed up afterwards.

I moved the boxes back into place, completely by myself, again. I moved the insanely heavy wooden board back into place, 100% by myself. I plopped the mattress back onto the cafe-colored wooden board, alone, by myself.

    I was in despair.

Until I started to neatly fix up my bed. Something dropped. Something plastic.

In awe, I completed my pen.
    I finished making my bed.
I put the chair back in place. I sat on it.

    ...

The only ranting complaint I have for today is that my right leg itches.

But after a glass of water, life was good again. Meaningless, pointless, but good.
