<rant>I think that's becoming a standard. Here in Spain TV is more or less as shitty as that. That's why I don't watch tv since I was 14 or so. Everytime you turn the fucking tv on, the only shit you can watch are fucking motherfucking stupid angry people shouting one to another 24 fucking hours a day, or 'who knows who the fuck are they' people shouting about "celebrities" lifes.

It's been a long time since watching tv meant watching good movies, documentaries and so.
Time ago you used the VHS to record tv to watch it (movie, doc, whatever...) over and over again. Nowadays I would only record TV just to burn the tape afterwards.

People should stop looking at their bellies and start reading [good stuff] more, this fucking planet would be so much better this way.

To me TV is dead, long live the internets.</rant>

PS: Yep, I fucking hate paparazzi and all that shit.
PS2: Sorry about the "strong language", but that kind of people only deserve the worse.
PS3: [good stuff] meaning classic literature, science, narrative... etc.
PS4: I know this is the cheer me up thread... so:

Scary thing is I recognise around 80% of those stills from the time just after uni when I was at home and watching a lot of daytime TV, just before I started working. And there were far more outrageous ones then that :/

I've been listening to queen lately. This song felt like it belonged in this thread as it's pretty upbeat and awesome.

"I must not fear. Fear is the mind-killer. Fear is the little-death that brings total obliteration. I will face my fear. I will permit it to pass over me and through me. And when it has gone past I will turn the inner eye to see its path. Where the fear has gone there will be nothing. Only I will remain."

This is a short news clip about Estonia's President's recent visit to the Monarch of Sweden and how public found the first lady's attire stupid and funny. The president has a thing or two to say about it imitating the "sound" of a society bimbo. I love our president.

After hearing all the "bad" things about China and with the people arguing in the Lounge and such, I feel like this cheered me up and was quite refreshing:

    And this: http://www.towleroad.com/2010/12/wat...y-wedding.html

A few steps forward to something healthier.

    Oh and this is funny:

Nice! Maybe I'm the only one but I didn't realize you were supposed to click on the video and drag to move you're view. I sat through about 2 minutes of the same fixed view before getting bored and closing it. I didn't realize what you were supposed to do until I came across the same link somewhere else on the web. Haha, very cool once I figured out what the deal was though.
