Becard got my vote too, but John's is absolutely hilarious. I love the lens flare on the wasp.

My vote went to Hallo, great colours and epic scope. Makes me want to learn of the rest of the adventure!

Ian L: The way you rendered that water's pretty cool.

Hey guys thanks for the votes,
I really like Yadam and Hallo's piece.

Hallo has a really good feel of scale and atmosphere. A bit more refinement and value control could be nice.

Yadam I love the level of information specially in the shadows. Did you forget to Embed the color profile in the jpg? Because if I just look at it in my browser with the standard mac screen setting it look a bit dull. However once I open it in CS with the working space set up on adobe RGB. It really look awesome!!!

John, nice director's cut! I like the red in the BG. The water is looking a bit to metallic maybe.

Ian L, scary croc! the shape in the foreground could be a little more designed or cropped. Right now it take lots of space for nothing and it is a bit to symmetrical.

Aturkone, cool side scroller feel. Moai had a great point on the main thread. lighten up the value of the water to make the croc more readable.

And I forgot to bitch talk about mine... The statue eyes look like it's made of plastic. The statue doesn't cast a shadow (weird?). The two stick on the right don't receive light (?) and are way to identical ( length, texture, shape, bad design). The water look like blue colored sand...Ho well!

Cheers becard, I hope thats not a basic thing I should be doing, 'cause I have never done it . Do you check the ICC profile when you save, or is that something different?

    Hmmm
they all kinda ended up being close to each other motivewise but I still liked Becards entry most, hallo being second. Good job by everyone though.

Don't know I'm still a colors management noob... so I don't want to freak you out for no reason. I pretty sure I'm wrong!

when you save a pic (or save as) you have other options along with choosing the type of file. One of them is >Embed Color Profile: (your working space profile in CS).

I've noticed that when I work within a large gamut range environment (like adobe RGB witch seems perfect for my new printer). I end up having an image that lack contrast, colors saturation and have some dull areas when I open it in other application if I don't Embed the color profile.

Anyway that come from an idiot that use prepress setting for an image that is only designated to be shown online so...
