I agree with Marian. The still life and the black lady is what caught my attention in this post. Also I like the head with the green background. All very impressive indeed. I'm painting a still life myself right now, so I can appreciate the effort it takes to make it as good looking as you did. Where I paint the lighting condition suck with fluorescent light coming from every direction. Is it really that dark and baroque in your studio? It looks like the scene is lit up with candlelight almost.

I have Henry Yans life drawing book sitting proudly on my shelf, and I agree that life drawing totally reminds me of his wonderful talent. I've been following this thread for a while, you're an inspiration and the improvement you've made is fantastic. Looking forward to seeing more

The ones you did on 5/17/13 on the yellow paper are crazy good. Nice.

Axelga2112 Thank you, no, the studio is not that dark, but the setup it is. Just using a spot light and blocking other light sources on the subject.
Marian yep
Done that figure during a workshop with the man himself ( Henry Yan )

Very nice armour and helicopters, good range. My favourite is the horse armour, something very cool about horses in armour. Also cute robot, but he comes across as a little sad, maybe it's because he has such short arms?
-
-
thank you! Could be. I just bought that robot, just sitting on the book shelf right now with those short sad arms =p
It seems that (almost) everyone left these parts of the web. But it seems sad for me to do the same. Dont update at all now but i wont let this sb die so easily

Wow! Great! More of the studies of master art and nature, please! Your lines of the tree and especialy the wooden stuff of the shipwrecks were very helpful for my understanding! Thanks for sharing! Keep on posting pencil pages, but post them please as independent JPGs in a higher resolution here instead of groups of pictures in one JPG!

Sweet updates. After so long it is great to see so many beautiful drawings and paintings. Still loving the tree, and I think perhaps secretly you may be a little art robot with short arms.....hehehehe

Fantastic sketchbook; great to see so much progress and the drawing technique (..I have no idea how you do this) sets an example too.

That's very kind I am a child of the summer born June 9th. If you are too busy perhaps you can just draw me a quick map to the pine tree and I'll try to draw my own.....hehehehe
I don't think I can match your level though, but we all have to start somewhere.

Look in the mirror at your face. Your audio canal is horizontal with the flares of your nose. Unless a person is staring into the sky, the bottom of the ear lobes will not be horizontal with the mouth. Nothing wrong with sticking your fingers in your ears, and feeling the relationship of your own face.

Lovely updates my friend. I especially like the landscape in colour is it oils? It has the look of watercolour, really lovely. You make me want to try and study harder.
