well this is an attempt of doing step-by-step, a really newbie one, but i didnt finish got bored... not to mention all the issues and problems there is, at end i guess was a good exercise to shading and volume.

Cool stuff man, your pencils are advancing. Do some more detailed studies on the planes of the face - they often don't quite read believably or three-dimensionally. But overall good stuff, just keep drawing every day. Mileage is what it is all about!
Keep going, and thanks for visiting my thread!
cheers!

Cool sketchbook, I really hope you've made it into art college. If not, keep in mind that this will not prevent you from getting better, you're already doing a fine job on your own... Keep posting, I look forward to see more...

if you are referring to the teeth that is way back behind all the other teeth, they are called wisdom teeth here in the United States. And yes, they hurt like hell when they need to extracted, especially if the gum has to be cut open to get to it. Anyhow, rinse your mouth with lukewarm salt water every couple of hours to help it heal and reduce swelling

nice sketch, surprised you can concentrate with the pain.

oh, good luck on getting accepted into the school

I dindt enter the university yet, i fail the exam last month, i still have an extra oportunity in september, but i guess theres no more
well, your drawing is getting great, unocupied post.,.. something like that. We were suppose to be colleagues T_T this year... i m still applying but is like 30 dogs to just one bone, like we say

hey, did you heard about a university in Guimarães with BD and Ilustration degree only? know anything about it?

I really apreciated your comment on allana, i lost patience with the environment, but is a next step.

how do you come up with poses that dont look like poses ( stiff)

the head is a litle big for the body

Hey, man! Nice stuff in here. You are planning to finish that druid girl, right? Great. You really should. Maybe even expand the canvas down to show her full body. Will be a good practise, for sure. I should try and participate in those challenges myself, but maybe only when I'll have more free time, that is next month, blah...Wouldn't want to find time only on the day of deadline, haha.
You've worked nicely on the lines of that druid girl, which I don't see in your traditional sketches. The digital one seems more free.

A lot of the time you seem to be compressing the faces when you draw, making the faces very thin compared to the size of their heads. Maybe take some more care with support lines before you start drawing more?

I hope to see an update on your ice druid soon - it's a great start!

Love the texture you got on the last ballpoint tree.

sketching with a ballpoint pen is a challenge since once a mark is put down, it stays down But at least with light pressure, a light line can be put down as a guide. But to me, using a ball point pen is an excuse for not being neat

nice work on the gestures and the back of the people's heads you should try doing gestures from http://www.posemaniacs.com/pose/thirtysecond.html, you can set it for 10, 15, 30, 45, 60 or 90 seconds.

posemaniac is great!.. I think you are drawing the head slightly too big.. and don't forget to carry the weight on the hips.. the hips are never together usually.. and also the shoulders too. As for line quality, try drawing without lifting your pen so much.. hopeully it will free you up a bit! keep it going dude.

hi Call0ps

good stuff since my last visit. looks like your faces are improving. and I think drawing the skull is going to help you. The biggest thing is to have the face broken down into basic shapes. and then having the features in the correct places... These last gesture drawings are great. I think they would seem less stiff if you gave more of an arch in the back and exagerated the twists a bit. Keep on going these are great!

nice pose on the sketch only thing I noticed that is slightly off is her left eye (our right) which could be a bit bigger and closer to the other eye.

nice hand studies too ...

Mmmm, kickass. Forehead a little big though.

Great job on the hands, too.
