Here are some item illustrations I've been working on I. I would love to hear feedback on how to better render these and paintovers are always welcome. I made almost all of these this past week to target Fantasy Mint. I can't find a way to contact them other than posting on their forum which seems unprofessional. Anybody else have some contact information? Thanks.

Ring of waterbreathing-I was just thinking of what a ring like a squid would look like.

All really nicely rendered. I especially like the weapon made from the creatures Jaw. tasty!
The first two and the fifth one are well done (better than I could do), but I think they bring down the rest of the pieces a little. Without them it looks like a much stronger portfolio. Good Luck man... it's very nicely rendered stuff.
Mmm, I agree... The first two don't seem as sharp as the others, but it's all very well done. Great colours, and some really awesome designs in there. Good luck.
inspector_lee- Thank you for the complement.
Bowlin- Thanks for the feedback. I'm a little surprised you picked the 5th one and not the 6th. I thought the sixth one was one of the weaker ones.
cognition-Thanks for the feedback. I don't know what of these are going on my website so the feedback is appreciated.
All in all, this is a nice collection.
The warhammer doesn't look quite right, though: The perspective seems broken, and it's not nearly as interesting as the more elaborate and unusual designs you have here. The ring ring of waterbreathing doesn't really look like squid to me, I'm afraid. Have you considered maybe making it look like a tentacle instead?
For me, the strongest design is the two-handed weapon with the teeth. You do glass surfaces very well.
Malaveldt-Yeah it looks like I had a brain fart on that hammer pic. Here's an updated version.
I haven't heard anything from Fantasy Mint so I guess I struck out. Back to the drawing board. I'm going to try to make 3D models of these which I haven't done before. We'll see how it turns out.
