    More time on my hands

Now that I'm no longer with BioWare, I can finally do some painting again and finally set up my site, scrawnypaws.com. So, here's my two humble cents...

This is really nice, I'm loving the textures. What kind of reference did you use, if you don't mind my asking?

It was painted directly in PS; I looked up several riders, especially for the horse - it is impossible to paint/draw living beings from imagination, if no live model is available, willy-nilly one turns to Google and photographs; I wish I had money to draw from live models - I did it as a student all the time; I also love Craig Mullins and all those awesome Victorian artists; always wanted to do a piece in their style but never had time .

Wow, this is good, what happened with BioWare? The background is my only beef, why the hell would he be piking some nubs at the beach?

An amical parting of ways . As for the "back", initially the figure was painted over raw canvas (scan) as a study and then my wife said it was too good to leave it that way, so I threw in more stuff but no great (heh) thought went into those rocks....

awesome piece! The background doesn't feel deep enough though, like (not this bad) it's a hollywood backdrop.

Amazing, gorgeous stuff. You really have the late Victorian/Brandywine feel down. Even though it's obvious the second one is a computer painting, it doesn't 'feel' modern. Wonderful.

did Craig Mullins work with Ensemble Studios in the production of Age of Empires 3? Cuz if that's the guy u really nailed his style I frikkin love it.

It's funny tho cuz the first thought that ran thru my head when I saw your knight-on-the-beach piece was from that game, it's like in the beginning of the game you play a knights-templar in Cyprus I think, where you fight off Saladins invading forces... it was such an awesome game n u captured it perfectly! Definetely a two thumbs up piece of art

Hi, Sasha. I met you in Montreal we had a great chat about the thought process and creation of an illustration that somehow turned into a full blown lecture in that back room. You have some really amazing works on your site... You create those pirates very well.... and your sketches are badass... So, are you freelancing now?? Will we get to see more art from you now?? Hope so.. until then..

Mainloop- man i must be dyslexic.. cuz i thought you asked how many people are on lsd

The horseleg on the far right looks wonky. Can't put my finger on it, but there's something wrong there.
    Awesome pieces.
