Daniel: Yeah, that's my name, =). I'll try to, thanks for stopping by!

    Dile: I will, (hopefully) thanks!

Ville de la Rhine: I dunno, actuaslly it was about half shading with the side of my pencil and half hatching, so if that tells you anything. Thanks!

Another one for this morning, or afternoon, call it what you want. I'm sure there are anatomical issues, there'll always be, lol. Not quite finished, example being her left breast atm

Hey man, thanks for stopping by my SB.

I really like the coloring on that guys face ye did a few posts back. How long'd it take? I wanna know how to color like that eventually. It's sort of cartoony but has a realistic look too it aswell.

@Taiylz: Np man, thanks for stopping by mine!
I'm not sure how long it took me, because I didn't work on soley the face for a time, then other things, I just kind of did this and that.
Anyways, that kind of colouring is really simple. The green in the background was what I brushed transparently over the entire picture, face and all. That was my first coat, then I brushed another transparent layer of an orangish colour around his face and neck area, you can still see it to the sides of him, the orangeish glow. Then I just add layers in increasing saturation with each layer. First one, just colour picked the base colour over his face and went to the colour sampler, and moved it upwards and made it a tad lighter, and went over the lighted areas with it. The brush I mainly use is just a default round, opacity set to pen pressure at about 60-70 opacity. I just made new layers and kept making it lighter and lighter on areas like the nose, until I got to the highlights, which are simple, just dab some really bright light colours on there.

Take my advice with a grain of salt though, I'm far from decent at ps painting. =(

I kinda like that self portrait man, although, I'd have to say, you bear a striking resemblence to a few anime characters hehe, like Akuma from Street Fighter =)

Anyhow, keep at it mate, keep at it hard, I know you will!

Oh, woops, that's not me though, if you're talking about the latest one =P I do need to do a self portrait soon though, I don't think anybody here knows what I look like yet, unless I have posted it and can't find it. It's decently large, school assignment.

    Thanks for the reply!

LOL, no, I look a lot different than that actually. I'm a very laid back person. Everybody else in the house is arguing and bickering about stuff that is of no importance, getting uptight about the tiniest thing, the atmosphere is thicker than cold custard and I'm just laughing.\
    Heheh.

First off, I just want to say I admire your dedication to this sketchbook--it's quite long!

You're loose and lively lines make the sketches enjoyable.
More paintings please! Lots of nice drawings, but I saw few environmental paintings. Perhaps something newish to try?

Oh, btw, I love toned paper to draw on too!

    Thanks Moroi.
I haven't done any environments, I don't think. I mean, I'd kind of been drawing people my whole life really, but not places or environments so it seems like it would be harder to get the hang of.

    I'll see what's out there.
