I'm excited that Massive Black is developing a DVD artist training series that people of all levels on CA would find useful and inspiring...although this first one doesn't interest me at all based on the trailer I saw. If the content or chapters are posted, maybe I'll change my mind as, if nothing else, the techniques and topics covered may be inspirational and help me improve my own personal or professional artwork. I'm always looking to increase my creative skills and learn from other artists...whether or not they went to university, are self-taught or learned from their peers, had mentors, or whatever the case may be.

    Like thistly stated:
...but if it's presented anywhere near as cheesy as the teaser is (that music! The danger! "Look at how cool this guy is, everyone!"), I'll really have to give it a miss!

    awesome, I'm definately getting this!

when Marko walked across the street in the vid, it reminded me of that Van Halen music video "Right Now" with the words "Right Now... there's a mad man walking the streets"

    Hey guys,

thanks everybody for the nice reply's and the interest in the DVD. The production was more then fun. Thanks to Aaron ΦΦΦerstorm aka Bonedog, for spending timeless hours filming, editing and piecing together dozens of hours of footage into well over 2 great hours Character Design/Conception/Realization etc.... I guess Jason will announce the actual content of the DVD pretty soon, and I don't want to spoil his fun with it, so I'll just say that there is a chunk-load of lessons for beginners and experienced artists on there as well as a lot of goodies and fun stuff, which make the DVD enjoyable beyond just the aspect of learning. For those who feel thrown off by the trailer - well - what can I say besides you're judging 2 hours of great learning experience that has eaten months of production time, by a cut together 2 minute teaser clip? I can't help it, I can't become somebody different, change my personality or divide myself into multiple beings to please everybody. And if you feel you don't like it then I recommend not watching it. But just judging it for the sake of voicing an opinion is a bit harsh, considering you haven't even given it a chance....

    Cheers
    Marko

    Looks fucking awesome.
And most importantly, I'm glad to see someone step up to the plate and offer us educational DVDs that are better suited for growing artists.

Cant wait to watch it, and I cant wait to see what other kinds of videos you guys are planning on releasing.

I'm buying it. First time I ever bought anything without waiting a while to see if it's good or not. I'm highly confident this will be worth the money. Thanks for doing this.
