    Geisha

    I used some brown ink and a pair of caran d'ache for this geisha...

    What's there is really nice, but there's just not much to it. Her pose is really stiff. The delicacy of the drawing of her head doesn't carry through to her body or arm. Composition is important, even in a vignette. The shape of her silhouette isn't interesting, and cutting her off like that makes her look stumpy, not graceful.

    I am working on some japanese illustrations, and this
