Not sure - though if we went by popular vote to decide, I think it would be #2 I think we might do a collage of one from each season for the cover, since a lot of styles are represented.

I'm so happy, all the ladies' work is smashing!
Special thanks to Steph for initiating the idea, and taking on the burden of organizing this shindig! It's been a blast getting to know the ladies around here!

Here is an unrestricted tale of my thoughts as I progress
    through these awesome pieces;

1: Very nice, great palette. You really kept it unerwater,
though I think (but am not in any means sure) that her
skin could use some pallid green or something- but overall
an incredible job. The white boreder bothers me, but the
way it is cropped is very good.

    Sexiness; 7.7/10

2: It's obvious who did this - And it is a very good
job, exactly what I think we all expected her to bring to
the table. The wolves are very appealing, and I believe
there are some "visual metaphors" in the Tree if you know
what I mean... The colors are wonderful, and it all pieces
together well. I love the colors of the peaCOCK against
the umber-ish of the rest of the piece. The very subtle
blue in the sky really helps bring it all in.

    Sexiness: 6/10

3: Very texturey, almost oilpaintlike (Actually I wouldn't
be suprised if it was), the colors are nice and there is
definite femininity in the pose and face. The pose is
rigid and demanding, which fits the salute and costume-
very well organized piece. I love the skintone hue
    transitions.

    Sexiness: 4/10

4:To be honeset, there is way too much pink. The skin
blends with the pigs and the ground and the walls and the
green is sort of distracting. I think this would have
worked better if the walls were a shade of blue and the
skin was warmer; but mos of all I think the thing that
throws this pic off is the perspective- the background is
almost totally out of perspective with the figure, which
makes alot things looks strange. I did a paintover trying
to generally show a (very vaguley) more accurate BG. I
also made the skin richer; I think the pic also suffered a
bit from lack of saturation, both the BG and FG were not
very saturated- so there wasn't as much depth as there
could have been. I hope this was helpful! Not to toot my
own horn, but I am rating the sexiness after my paintover-
I didn't change the figure at all, it was SUPERB. Just needed
    some extra kick, y'know?

    (See attachment)
    Sexiness; 8.2/10

5: The face seems a bit stale, or somehow "man-ish", I
think the jaw may be a bit to strong, as well as the cheek
bones. Other than that, it is FANTASTIC!!!!

    Sexiness: 8.3/10

6: I love the concept; the face is beautifully rendered,
but the hairstyle (while really nice and playful and well
done) makes her seem dorky =P

    Sexiness 6.8/10

7: I love how this was executed, the washed out figure and
all. Not much else to say,

    Sexiness: 6.5/10

    8: Flawless.

    Sexiness: 9.6/10

    9: No crits, very sexy.

    Sexiness: 8.8/10

10: Woah girl, you know sexy.

    Sexiness: BONER. 10/10

11: I know who did this too =P Very well excecuted, great
    piece, just not sexy D:

    Sexiness: 2/10

12: Great piece; the boots seem to be a bit muddy in
rendering, but overall, very sexy piece.

    Sexiness: 8.9/10

13: The skin tones on this are very "Black=>Peach=>White"
in Value, with touches of red in it. Adding touches of
Red, yellow, and magenta (VERY SATURATED FOR ALL OF THEM)
really increases the "luciousness" of the skin. The edges
are very soft, and i thnk amore definitle lightsource
would have helped. I think the leaves with their hard
edges a re a bit too distracting, but I love the
    headdress.

    Sexiness: 6.3/10

14: Very nice. Warm skin v. Cold BG, and to be honest; I
am a sucker for the folded arm breasts.

    Sexiness; 9.6/10

15: Very simple and graphic style-ish, I think the hands
could have used some work, and the jaw seems a bit too
    sharp

    Sexiness: 6.1/10

    16: Too good.

    Sexiness: BONER! 10/10

17: Composition is awesome, love the tiger!

    Sexiness: BONER! 10/10

18: To keep it breif; the lighting is pretty good, but I
think this piece suffers most from lack of reference,
which would have greatly helped this piece.

    Sexiness: 2.6/10

19: It seems somehow incomplete, it is very soft- not
really my cup of tea. The perspective also seems to be
slightly off, and the brushstrokes on the figure sort of
eliminate the "Smooth complexion" type of feeling which
    alot of guys really love.

    Sexiness: 5.7/10

20: She seems a bit too skinny, and I am not a fan of the
purpley skin tones- but that's subjetive It is lit well,
and the palette is pleasing. The form is described nicley
    in the figure.

    Sexiness: 7.5/10

21:The colors are very saturated, and the figure is sort
of unsaturated- again, this piece seems to suffer from a
lack of reference, and it seems slightly out of
perspective. The composition also seems very closed in,
but the pose is cute and innocent.

    Sexiness: 3.2/10

    22: :o

    Sexiness: BONER!!! 10/10!!!

23: VERY NICE! very nice. I love the style, it is done
VERY well!!! what would make it sexier is if the nose was
smaller, not sure if the word is convex or concave, but
sort of if the bridge was inverse what it is now- it would
    be a 10/10.

    Sexiness: 9.3/10

24: Great execution from reference, but the black lines on
the face sort of bring down how great this picture could
be. Smooth up the rendering and it's a 10.

    Sexiness: 9.4/10

25: IS THAT OEDIPUS??? Great piece, AWESOME PIECE!!!
Though the sphinx has a somewhat man-ish feature, I can't
put my finger on what it is. I think it may be the
forehead? (SO CLOSE TO A TEN!!!)

    Sexiness: 9.6/10

26: I can see that reference was used on the horse, and
the woman seems to be firmly placed on the horse, but I
think she still suffers from lack of reference. I know it
must be hard to find it though; The rendering is a bit too
smooth, there isn't enough edge variation where there
needs to be, and the skin is very white-brown, I think
more reds and yellows would help.

    Sexiness: 6.7/10

    27:

    Sexiness: BONER!! 10/10

28: Well executed, tho her face seems really devious and
scary :X But I guess you were goin for that!

    Sexiness: 9.2/10

29: If the skin was a bit smoother, and she was revealing
just a BIT more, this would be a ten. I really like the
    colors.

    Sexiness: 9.3/10

30:The face is a bit old looking :X other than that,
    great!

    Sexiness: 8.7/10

SEXINESS IS TOTALLY ARBITRARY, AND IS MEANT IN TERMS OF THE WOMAN DEPICTED. Some of these were great, but the woman wasn't totally attractive; Sexiness is not "Quality of the pic" but rather "How turned on I was" because someone asked for that. I hope you all learned from this experience, it must have been a blast!

Ok, Justin is the hero of the day and I propose he gets a free calendar...! Holy crap dude, thank you for taking the time for those crits AND the SEXINESS RATING!!!

I could start a playful rebuttal about my piece (I'm sure it's obvious anyway!). But for now I'll just sit tight and know that, with regards to my own submission, at least I would tap that

Thanks Steph, I will probably fail my Government class cause of it- but what can I say- it's my duty.

You'd better donate that Calendar to the MB studio though, something tells me My mom wouldn't like it much... =\

Hurah, great work everyone! Can't wait to see the results! I think after all of the work we put into this we should have a sleep over party and eat popcorn while having naked tickle fights

Well, Justin / Pixeldragon, it was incredible experience reading your comments. thank you so much for that, you are a gentleman and really nice guy overall. I'm very grateful for you giving your time and very interesting analysis for all of us out of pure altruism.
Thank you and you did a lot of truthful observations. made me smile too, with your 9.3 or 9.6 of sexual excitement, ahahahhah, that's funny. But nevertheless it is huge generous help to all us and thank you, you are the best!!! Hugs and kisses and you are hero in my eyes forever. Hope there are more people like you between the boys, .
    Hehe
You wrote that you don't like flirty girls, your preferences in this contest said the opposite .
But you are great, so thanks million times.

I don't have to deal with these girls' attitudes tho!!! So it's different.

I will try to go a bit more in depth and do more paintovers tomorrow, I promise!

Wow! And....Darn it! I am new here and it looks as if I have just missed the fun. But seeing as this is one of the first all-girl events here, and is an obvious success, I can look forward to participating in the future. Seeing events like this makes me wanna hang around CA a lot more and get more involved.
    Well done ladies!!

Some truly lovely work here. Good luck to the judges... And the competitors! It's cool to be so familiar with people's work you can tell who did some of the pics without the names.

    My picks for top 12.

#1 - Very nice, but either the sea monster needs less contrast or she needs more.

    #2 - Can't crit. Jaw on floor.

#3 - Very sexy. But then I have a thing for argyle socks. Great John Singer Sargentness going on in the trouser highlights.

    #8 - Can't crit. Tongue on floor.

#9 - So sweet. Lower legs a bit long, but this is the one I would marry.

#15 - Nice, sharp graphic style and colors. Excellent, sexy curves. Her hands and and arms aren't as graceful as the rest of her, though.

#16 - Okay, maybe I'd marry this one. Excellent color, anatomy and expression. A little bit lazy on the folds of the robe.

#17 - Very sexy 'beauty and the beast' pin-up. Nice proportions and pose. Her hair doesn't have enough contrast to it, however. Needs to get darker behind her back.

#22 - Beautiful Mucha/Kaluta feel to this. Excellent technique and color. The position of the blonde girl's head disturbs me. Perhaps it's meant to.

#23 -Sexy and graphic, but not graphic sex. Nice. I like the batik-ish patterning and her beautiful mid-eastern nose.

#25 - Amazing. Beautiful painterly technique. Odd but compelling subject. Some trouble with the perspective or possibly the proportion of the victim's right arm. And, rather than looking like she wants to kill him, she seems to be saying, "Oh, why won't he stop fussing!" Love it.

#27 - A true old fashioned 'hanging-on-the-garage-wall' pin-up, with the creepy addition of albino pink eyes. Alluring and unnerving at the same time. A hard thing to accomplish. Like the graphic background too.
