    I wanna know who this judge D is....
    Why are you planning to lynch him/her?

    Hehehe, Judge B and C picked mine (the flesh dress wraith) for a big print??!! Thanks, you two. I'm honored! I'm shocked it got any votes at all, seeing how much of a stretch it was from the others. When I saw this chart, my jaw fell to the floor.

    Oh, and if anyone was wondering what-the-effs I was thinking while painting it, there were a lot of things going through my head at the time, but here are the main two: On one hand, I wanted to show "inner beauty/sexiness" in all of its literal glory. On the other, I wanted to show that in answer to drooling men always looking for teh sexayness, some girls might want to just tear off their skin occasionally instead of tearing off their clothes. Just as a big middle finger kind of thing.

    Does that make any sense to anyone, I wonder...

    Hahahahahahahahaha...

    'Goo, thank you for proving I haven't reached full senility yet. Without giving too much away (I hope), the first thing that crossed my mind was the "big finger," and I was sooOOOOOoooooooo happy that somebody had the guts to do it. As far as I'm concerned, I wish there were 13 months so I could squeeze your's back into the top where it belongs...

    Well thank you so much, ma'am. I wish it was true vector, but Illustrator got all funky with me, so I had to do it in photoshop, which was hard. I'm defiantly gonna pick your brain, queen o vector. Oh and the design and eye flow of your piece. I loves it much. *runs off to sketch*

    Hehe, that's cool, Ilaekae. I'm really happy to have made it at all. But, yes, sometimes I wonder if it's truly "having the guts" or "having the stupidity" to do most of the things I do

    I wasn't really wondering anything. That's one hell of a sexy monster right there, no one said anything about the girl being human, in fact, if I remember correctly, the sci-fi/horror/fantasy/mythology themes were very much encouraged... AND if I were a male zombie (or a mummy too, probably), I'd be drooling all over her

    You got a problem with Smarch? ...you know, aside from the lousy weather...

    Keep your eyes peeled guys (and especially you judges!), the wicked girls of the "G Spot" have just one more surprise for you...! Should be ready sometime tomorrow...

    The biggest difference is how they're spoken.

    "ROCKTEMBER!" is pronounced with all caps and an exclamation. It's intense and over the top. People get excited because every day is a National Holiday and there are no taxes that month. It's a month where folks pull out the mullets, and extend the index and pinky fingers a lot (almost leading to Carpal Tunnel Syndrome by the 32nd). There's a good deal of neck exercising and every other word spoken is "dude".

    Smarch is usually followed with a question mark and when it isn't, there's a general response of "gesundheit". It rains a lot and even clowns wear black. The surf flattens out, everyone listens to Joan Baez, and sensible shoes sell out. On the plus side, there are only 16 days, we celebrate Liberace's birthday, and when people laugh at you, they're not allowed to point.

    You know, it's really a toss-up.

    Ok guys, the ladies from the G-Spot have but one more trick up their sleeves (stockings?). Get your horizontal scrollbars ready!

    We wanted to say an enormous, collective THANK YOU to everyone who has supported this project in its 6 months of incubation...

    -The judges who, in their own words, had to make some of the most difficult art choices in ages

    -Jason, for giving us the secret forum to hatch all of our insidious art plots and the means to print these Calendars

    -Davi, for granting the new girls access to the secret forum and being one of our honorary G-Spot girls

    -To EVERYONE who has left a crit, ranked the entries, spread the word or given us exposure - thank you Layil for the stickies and the front page announcement!!

    And my personal thanks go to the girls who doled out some of the best crits and the most individual support I have have ever seen on CA, to Magicgoo for pioneering the Girlie Thunderdome which sparked this project, and to Entdroid who will be saving my arse with the graphic design portion of this project ^__^;

    We will let you know as soon as these become available - give us at least a month to iron out all the little details!

    All the best,

    The Chicks who Draw Chicks crew of 2006

    Geez-louise, chickies, this is friggen' fantabulous! From everything that I've seen and read it sounds like a lot of fun was had by all. Thanks for doing this and I can't wait to get a copy for me very own. All were great in their own way, but my faves were the ones by Bluefooted, Iconophobian, Nonie, Poise, Shelly Wan, Sve, Tully and Yumiko. Either Bluefooted or Shelly Wan's would be my vote for the cover.
    Since I'm way too inarticulate to give any good and/or intelligent feedback I'll just say thank you and you all are awesome.
    Now, I'll just go and clunk my cave man head against the cave wall.

    Hey Molly - I'm really sorry, I feel like I am singling you out here but there's still confusion with a lot of people as to how the scoring system worked. Let me break it down a little more and see if this helps:

    The first priority for any piece to win a Large Print was to have ranked in the top 12 winners. To rank in the top 12, you needed to have earned at least 9 points from the judges.

    Yours had ranked in 13th place with 8 points (4 from the large print side, 4 from the small print side = 8 ) >_< Even though it had been selected twice
    to be July's large print, it didn't earn enough points total to place it in the running for a large print, and thus became a small print.

    #6 also placed twice for a month (December) and #16, which also placed twice for December, was being used for another month for thematic reasons. #6 earned more Large Print votes and had a higher score, placing it in the top 12 and thus in the running for a large print.

    ..did that make a lil more sense? >___<;;
