If you're going to teach in Italy or Spain, remember they don't air condition anything. It'd be best to find a mountainous locale. I took a great month long course in Barga, Italy, in the hills of Tuscany. Great weather, and great location. I learned a good amount about print making.

If I can stump up the money and time I'm going to look into doing this. I'ld imagine you'll be full before I can get it together. Awesome idea though. It sounds like a great class. You could do one in Ireland too, no problem. There are loads of holiday chalets and apartments in the middle of nowhere that would be good places to have a community-style set-up.

Thanks guys, I'm not sure how long I've been drawing, I did study at the Art Students League and the National Academy here in NYC for 6 or 7 years for everyday all day classes. pretty intensive.

Love your use of directional marks to build up a sense of movement and tone. Your works a wonderful inspiration, the likeness and expression of your subjects is fantastic. I really should try doing some works on a midtone surface... therse a wonderful depth in tone rage.

Thanks again to everyone for checking out my SB.

here is a quick little 6 by 9 inch study, based on the drawing from before. going to start a life sized painting from this next. tough to pack in the info I want in such a small space.

Great, really looking forward to the big one now. When you say it's based on the drawing does that mean you interpret the colour by the values or are you using the model to reference the skintones?
