This is one of your best full scene paintings, it's really good scene. I think you should correct the knees/lower leg positioning. Also someone said something about upping the contrast which would be a really good idea. Basic idea is to perhaps darken the foreground a bit more while still upping the contrast and maybe slightly lightening the background a bit though you may not need it depending on how the first part goes, it will help. Very close to a masterpiece.

I really like your style and the bloody critters and perverse atmosphere, keep it up, 4*s from me for the entertainment factor.

Hiya. Great 3D enviro on the last post! I'm just starting to take a stab at trying to learn some 3D so am finding others peoples 3D work more and more inspirational, especially now that I know so much more about the work involved! I'm also liking the beast like character in post #216, he's really nice. The mech woman 4th down in the same post is by far the strongest I think, lovely slick design...liking the legs on that one, looks like she could run pretty fast even though her armour is pretty hench looking. Maybe you could try taking that design further so she looks even more streamlined and perhaps lighter armour would suit better?

    Take Care,

    Cx

Still suffering from sketchbook envy, yet I able to say that this is one of the better ones that I've seen. I'd love to see some of your stuff animated. What are you doing right now?

the last one is all nice and misty :] you could try strenghtening the values of the dude and make`em stand out more, and adding some more detail to that gun of his, it`s looks like a soft pillow with handles. not hard and threatening like a real gun :]

im really digging that second last one- he has a good creep vibe, gw. i think your last chick needs some refinement on her lower half... other than that, i'm diggin the textures your bringing into your paint.

Liking the second to last post update! He's great.
I know what you mean about deadlines, just met a tricky one myself...so very tired hehe, but it's usually worth all the hard work in the end right?

    Take it easy...if you can!

this is a wicked sketchbook with a really excellent development and a nice variety of styles.

for a small crit, the form on the last two sketches seem a little drop off in a couple of places - mainly on the shoulder pads... the highlights that you paint dont reinforce the description of the form and as a consequence the figure doesnt read as well as it could

i love this one as well as this one - two completely different styles, but both extremely well excecuted!

i will be keeping an eye on how this sketchbook progresses

i really like your characters alot. I only think that your 3d is very flat because it seems to have no depth in the wooden planks/wall.

Ah harrrrrrrr, ive been here once or twice before too!

Youve really come a long way since you started posting thats for sure, your models in particular are looking really nice, even though theyre lowpolyed the sexy textures more than compensate and add loads of detail!

How was your bout with Uni? I was going to a uni in Norfolk studying games art and design... although i remain self taught.

Most of my art dates back to a similar amount of time as your thread, hopefully when i start posting on polycount ill have something more respectable to be known by :3

This sketchbook is really impressive in scope. Very inspirational stuff. Your 2d is great and you have a working knowledge of actual game mechanics. You're going to have a badass job
