    I feel the need to emphasize it this time;
    WIP
    nerrrrrrrrrrrd! We can only crit what we see!

    Remember clouds are like everything else when you model them, hard edges where the different stuff pops out and then the soft edges rolling around the form. Right now they look like jelly monsters.

    The new stuff is cool, lets see some polish

    Something the "laptop painters" dont want you to know; once they are done, they go inside and adjust the painting from memory, because laptops always present the same problems for every artist. I'll leave both up just for comparison. I think it should be obvious which one is which =P

    Hey Justin, life stuff is getting way freaking better. As far as enviros, looking good. One thing I've learned lately with enviro composition is that you need something of interest in the foreground, middle ground, and background for a full comp. You're giant spaceship cloud thing does this alright, but by putting even more elements into it, I think it would make it a stronger piece. Going back to Khang as an example, it's very evident in his work. With the ship/cloud one, there only seem to be two levels of depth, ship and cloud, so it loses a bit of its power. Just some thoughts.

    Hey justin, great stuff! I like those outdoors jobs that you did. I reckon that I should try that.
    Let see when you bring a more complex composition.

    flagpoles that look like thick sausages, waving hunks of meat in the air c'mon man... heheh jk. Looks good. Crits: the atmospheric fog is all the same color and temperature, making it flat. I think it'd give it a better composition if you threw that ring on the closest building around it instead of behind it, so you create depth through repetition of design elements with different sizes. The reason the crits are so knit picky is because you're doing everything else pretty well. Hopefully they'll take it beyond meh. It might be cool to get a different angle on the silhouette shios, make it more interesting. Haha all the same stuff I'm trying to incorporate in my stuff.

    just released at super-low res. When I go in tomorrow I'll see if they'll let me post the higher-quality ones.

    Blue one is cropped way bad. As a note; our game is not some teched out Gears clone- a friend commented on how unrealistic the gun shapes were... this ain't no coro demo (just as an fyi), we are shooting for style here. Check out the other concept art on the site and see for yourself. (these are the only ones that are mine though)

    just as a note, the portfolio is on it's way to school so me changing any of this is essentially moot. This isn't all of it, (and I took the layouts template off as well), this is just stuff you haven't seen and I'm not too ashamed off (well some of them) to show. I really hate the vehicles and the environments, but it was required and good practice. All of this was done between May 10th and today.

    Nice, I like the mech heads and that last one turned out way better than the wips.

    Looks really nice, I hope to see more characters from you, they are really cleanly rendered in almost a minimalistic kind of way, but it totaly works so well. Nice variation too, I wish you the best good sir.
