just need to let you know i bookmarked this and saved a shit ton of your stuff into my inspiration folder... i really appreciate your aesthetic, i could keep staring at each of those face sketches for so long. you just became one of my favorites/heroes. i gotta ask, what type of brush is that? i mean, is it flow or opacity that is set to pressure, and is there a minimum % set of either?

Daniel, those heads are simply great mate. You completely nail the forms, and make it look so simple. You've also made me realise how much I neglect the mouth.

more of those heads please bro, i could look at them all day

Great faces - each has something unique and interesting to it. Is this you usual sketching style or were you making them that vague and minimalistic on purpose. I was curious if you define your faces with lines more than that before going to larger brushes, defining planes etc.

Everything I wanted to say is right here...though I don't neglect the mouth...I just suck at them currently..and the form of the head and the eye placement and the...ah hell, back to the grindstone.

haha well daniel, i was about to say yes to your generous OC invitation...but now i'm just downright intimidated these are great, really diverse expressions and features! i know the face isn't all your concerned with, seeing as you continue to push the anatomy as well, so this was a real treat to see! but in the same case, it would be intersting to see you do a few characters or anatomical anomalies void of heads or faces, just writhing arms and limbs - i know you could do a brilliant job with it
    thanks for treats!

very awesome monsieur! The facs are looking great and I love the various expression. It's also scary how fast you're getting the hang of sketching digitally.

nice stuff dude, keep it up!

Bren: yeah, colors are coming, im just taking alot of time at understanding them... but im doing wong, it's all about mileage. thanks
Ian: im glad you liked it
    Call: ill try
Jon: thanks dood ! Means alot coming from you
    'nu:thanks
Armando: thanks, you rock man! I went all jihad on that painting, starting, changing, tweaking, restarting etc... i didn't know colors were that hard. But i'll keep at it.
    nethus: thanks
    diph: don't ask me...
    chris: thanks !
Mike: Aphex all the way man ! do you have all his cd's ?

Yesssssssssssssss, I look up to you so much, your sketchbook is the most strange, unique, amazing, eye dazzling piece of parchments, i have seen in such a long, long, long, long time. How old are you again. I like your silhoutte photograph picture of you. Do you like my screen pic. Cya Man

One more thing, I have to ask you a question, this semester at school, iam taking 3 art classes out of the 4 classes i have, do you think its too much for me to handle at once ? And if it is, do you think, i would be wise to take Painting 2 and Drawing, or Painting 2 and Figure Drawing, or Figure Drawing and Drawing ?

great job man...just looking at the subtle changes in value and tone on the skin from your rendering makes me both amazed and inspired...you gonna keep working on this or is it done? (in the sense that the live drawing session is finished)

I wanna see pieces with more narrative in them, god knows I love
yer work but I feel you could push more and try doing more images than
apart from being good looking would have a nice story to them.

Then again what do I know? consider it a friendly suggestion form

I already told you this on msn but great desaturated base colours you used there...you could push it a bit further by varying the hues in your highlights...other than that, you're nailing digital man...cant wait for you to do some finished pieces

    colours are looking great dude!
maybe when you start off, throw some odd colours into the mix, and then gradually work them in. It might make for more vibrancy and will make your forms really pop. Like the warm/cool play that you have going though.
but honestly, glad to see colours in here, super-psyched to see what you pull of in the near future!
    cheers!

I agree with Brendan_N, those digital faces look cool and all but a bit monochromatic and dark. Throwing in some other colors might make them more vibrant.

Also, that pencil sketch of the woman looks very cool expect for something with the proportions of the upper leg and lower leg. One of the two should be longer/shorter than the other think. It might be because of some foreshortening on the lower leg though, but in that case it should've been made clear by the shading, which at the moment doesn't suggest the leg is at an angle.

    Nice sketchbook by the way
