Man, those last pencils are looking great! Once again no crits.
And I guess I'll go see Apocalypto, though it might clash with my temporary sparta obsession that I expect after 300 this weekend.

    Dile: thank you =

Oki: alo! Thanks, don't worry they're coming.. slowly but surely.

Brendan: lol thanks ! I don't think apocalypto should be seen as a movie but more as a documentary (even though there are alot of historical and social errors...). hehe but the makeups and costums are worth the ticket's price. Go see it !!

Solon: thank you ! You're doing some great job with watercolours =)

    Dan: thanks, i will !!

Kronos: lol thanks! I'm sure a pro would see lots of flaws in my stuff... but oh well ^^....

PaperX: Thanks ! Here's a new one...it's a very sketchy one but i'm still working on it.

    Dan: hah !

Enthombed: good to hear Thanks !

    Cup: hehe, you won't be disappointed...at least, i wasn't

Ryan: Thank you very much for the support man! you too, see ya !

Paper: lol i don't think that would ever happen...looking at how some artist are shaping up here at ca. And i'm sure there are even more in fine arts that would kick my ass

A bit more on the previous page and some ~20/30 minutes stuff
    'night everyone !

Interesting - I found The Da Vinci code to be an very decent (even excellent at times) documentary, but it was really an appalling movie. Will probably receive Apocalypto in the same fashion.

The linework in the second pic reminds me of Rich's stuff - looks awesome, really like the design. First one is shaping up really well and the sp looks damn good and judging from that photo of you in the lounge, very accurate. Just beware of blacks for shadows - remember as colour lights up it moves closer to 100% sat. and 100% brightness.

    keep updating mon ami (?)

hey man, so i don't think this qualifies as a crit but a remark at least. on this one something weird is going on around the lower dude's face, i think you need to at least hint at the lines that finish his hair off at the side it doesn't read as fading off into the darkness... however i have a feeling you are infact perfect and that its just the scans that are going a bit weird, in real life is all the hatching in the background solid black? if not, then the shadow coming over that guys face isn't convincing as its not black black? if you follow me also it looks like the darkest darks are in that guys eyes and mouth, is that the same in real life? anyway your still working on it so just a couple things to think about i guess.

other stuff is killer as always, but DON"T AVOID THE COLOUR! well actually i think there really isn't a huge hurry, but if you want to commit to colour, commit to colour try creating a new layer and setting it to soft light if you just want to play around with adding saturation and hues on that sp.

i haven't actually read this article yet but i remember seeing something about how the artist applies different hues and such, take a look
