pixel image of shape tracing actual shape

    Hi
I have run in to a problem using shapes. I get this pixelview of my shapes, I also see the actual shape. The shape layer remains a shape layer. I thought I had accidentially happened across a command similar to Illustrators Pixel View, however I can't seem to find anything that resembels that in Painter IX. The pixelimage of the shape appears under the shapes and is almost like a shadow. Quite annoying i might add...

    Hi Peter,

I'm not sure what you're seeing. Can you post a screen print or two to show us?

There shouldn't be anything below a Shape unless you added it (i.e. a Shadow).

If you attempted to add a Shadow below a Shape, before that process could be completed, you'd see the Commit dialog window pop up, asking:

    "Commit shape to image Layer?"

You'd need to click the Commit button to add the Shadow. Then both the Default Layer (image layer) and the Shadow would be automatically Grouped.

Please do not PM me with Painter questions. Instead, post them here where everyone can benefit from them. Thanks!
