One thing I found is that contrary to watercolor where the tendency is to have watered down and dull pale colors, acrylic seems to be the opposite and I must admit I quite like it. Strong colors makes me feels good most of the time. Your last piece is a tremendous effort. So many figures and conveys a lot of rage. Do you like Goya?. I would avoid black to be replaced by a mixture of darkcolors but I know some people dont mind at all. Good job and keep posting (I know you will).

    Hey man-
Even if you don't think you're improving, you ARE indeed improving, and it's good to see you keep trying your best. And, seriously? Don't put yourself down. Even if you think you've totally fucked up a project and you've invested hours and hours into it, at the very least you should have learned something from it.

Anyway, that being said, I think it's time you did a big fat study. Paint/draw something, anything, and put lots and work and effort into it. It seems you're doing a lot of 'quick' work, and not being too satisfied with the results. Do a master study, or a still life, and invest as much effort/time as you can in it. I think you'll learn a lot. And, really, the end result is only worth so much compared to what you learn while doing a big project

As the pattern gets more intricate and subtle being swept along is no longer enough.

    hey bhanu..i owed u one..
    dude, sharp your pencils.
    watch the lighting
create volume with render and background melting
    study life
but especially, sharp your pencils alittle more, you need to escape the slappy look of the sketches..
draw the lines loose, let them flow
practice curved lines and curved hatching..
    oh, and
unless u show me some finalised pencil renders, i will kick your ass now get to it, private!

Bunny-Ha , Well most of my acrylic attempts have taken more than 3 -4 hours(except for the last two). YOu know what I know I am learning a lot every time. I am thinking of doing some master studies. And life studies too , actually I was just trying out some experiments with the faster studies .Noe I am gonna start putting more hours, also the fact that I have wuite less patience, but I think on that front I am getting better.I am gaining more patience. SO yeah by your advice , I am gonna do big fat studies , that will take days ,hell yeah.

some nice acrylics Bhanu, though they are very high chroma, and as people have mentioned, the values are somewhat weird. Anyway the effort shows, and keep em coming, and I'll throw a line over IM later.

Yo bhanu, sorry for not dropping by often enough...

I'll have to agree with bunny, there is most definitely huge improvement in these pages. Last ones looks great, definitely heading in the right direction - skin tones and all. Would like to see more drawings bro - just because I'm a drawing kinda guy and not so much a painting kinda guy hehe

Keep grinding and spilling my friend, you are making good leaps .
    ciao!

Bhanu! Dude it shows youre taking other peoples advice, the pencil rendering is really improving, some of the pieces are really showing some very nice lighting effects and shading. You need a scanner or to adjust levels on these pics(as mentioned) though so the detail can shine through. Keep up the anatomical studies man, starting to make a difference.

Ah bhanu, some really nice stuff here, but lined paper?? Whats going on? Theres some really nice stuff here nonetheless. My fave was the fat man pulling himself apart with the emerging midget. But hey, really nice loose stuff, and some nice concepts, keep it up yo.

    tHanks for the comments guys,
Slayer-YOu just wait. you gonna get some more pencil renderings.Just wait.ADvice is always cool , I mean If I dont take advice I can just post stuff at DA.hehe.But yeah do hang around. tis great to see cool artists here. ANd ahoy my first subsription, yeah yeah its not " your thread is so cool.. subscribed ' but a subscribption is a subscribtion.
SIrio_Brozzi-Thanks for the continued support man. you dont know how much I appreciate it. WEll, as I told you guys earlier my scanner sucks, ans I am still figuring out how to use my digicam the best way. Hmm lets see.
ANs yeah I wont for get to keep studying.
CAllops-lined paper, man I am sucker for lined paper, dunno why, but it lend some balance to my rather variable linework. But I guess They are just sketches , I do my rendering in blank pages.ANd dont worry , will be psoting some non linear pages soon.
    and thanks for the stars.
SIrio- Hey agian, well they are just sketches . I dwar inreally wierd places, I guess this aint that wierd. There are times when I am drawing on my body on the plates, cups . WIerdeh? I love drawing and I love drawing on different surfaces. hope you dont mind.the fat man was inspired by ben olsen man his thread is cool.thanks again.
WIll be posting my works tomorrow.
    Take care till then.

Love the birds. I believe this is my first time in your sketchbook, you're doing a great job! Your linework and shading has definitely strengthened from the first couple of pages. Watercolor's quite a task. Unfortunately I can't offer any tips since I'm still trying to figure it out myself :p but you're on the right track. Keep studying and posting!

checkin on u. lookin at your latest drawings, the one with Garella looks very intesterting. I see some lose and nice confident lines there. might wanna look at it again and see how u did it (that could be your style).

looking at other artist's drawing/work is probably the best way to learn. look at someone that u like and learn from it.

    thanks for the words guys,
nillaffle-HEy man its great to see new faces around here.thanks for dropping by , always apprecaite the comments.
Doodle-HEy again my doodled friend.hehe.EYAh finding your own style is a bitch. But I have noticed one thing Most artists who have unique sttles werent actually attempting to have that style, they just wanted to get better and better and mostly out of nowehere their styles were born. sO TAHts why I am trying to work my hardest. And also I dont knwo any otehr way.
    take care.

Updates some washed out watercolors, a pencil rendering, soem stupid sketchy shit , life stuff, what more do you want.

Well its good to hear you draw on whatever you can, shows passion. Your stuff is starting to show good looseness which also means more confidence in your drawings. I dig how the monkey, showdown ink sketch, and a few of those SB pages turned out. Later!

Sorry I couldn't get back to you with that crit, but it looks like most have mentioned what I wanted to mention so I won't bother saying it twice.

last updates are yet another big jump for you my friend.
