bhanu man, there is some great new stuff in here.

i really really love this style - great great shapes and seems very personal, which is a great thing. and a more difficult thing to find i think than all the basic realism skills. you obviously benefit from learning about value, colour, proper anatomy and perspective etc. but, i would love it if you'd find a way to keep doing stuff like these:
    http://i74.photobucket.com/albums/i2...i/DSC01026.jpg

    this too - stellar
    http://i74.photobucket.com/albums/i2...i/DSC01030.jpg

    http://i74.photobucket.com/albums/i2...i/DSC01038.jpg

know what i mean? like do that parallel to whatever you want to study. study everything that helps you or that you don't understand yet, keep it separated or merge it later on or whatever but bottom line is these have great shapes and wonkyness man. just like your original porn sketch which set off the lounge thread.

this one looks nice too, what i can see from it (any chance of you improving your lighting when taking pics? or scanning them?).
    http://i74.photobucket.com/albums/i2.../fatbearer.jpg

    keep it coming man.

    Thanks for the comment tensai,
Art , i think is about finding yourself, and what better way than to find yourself through your own style. I want to study all the basics too, becoz they really help in polishing my style.I am so glad that you like the stuff. Err, I will see what I can do about the lighting of the scans .
    SKetchy updates,
Have exams till the 5th of june.SO till then I will only be posting sketches , will turn most of these into paintings but that comes later. Here are the sketches.

I also did somethign for the chow last week very much half assed and It didnt get picked, well with all the kick ass entries , theres no place for shitty chows.
    But still its ehre.

duude sorry for disappearing on ya, u've been doing great work since i last visited i see

anyways i really like ur watercolour pieces, simply it seems u have put more thought in to values and tones in them than compared to say....ur looser doodles, loose line work is good but you also have to consider the anatomy and form.

One artist that i have been admiring lately and one that i think would really help u is Egon Schiele, his stuff is REALLY loose, but EVERY line counts to convey the anatomical form, EVERY smudge of paint no matter how small all show the viewer the muscle shape beneath the skin. i think this is the level of "loose" that you should be aiming for, just my 2 cents, hope that helps

an example of what i mean: here

hey man, you sure draw a lot. I've been slacking too much lately and you got me to get some watercolors. They aren't great but it revived me a little and helped me to relax and enjoy it instead of think of it as a job. anywho, keep up the great work man.

Somehow I thought I had been here before, but apparently I haven't. Have I been missing out. Your handeling of watercolors has improved so much, I'm seriously in awe. Especially these two

    http://i74.photobucket.com/albums/i2...i/DSC01016.jpg

especially when compared with your earlier work. Theres a real airy but solid feel to them, and just the right amount of contrast in the right spots to really push and pull form. Really nice stuff.

Hey dude, sorry for not dropping by in a long time.

You are making good headway, but I think there's a lot you need to concentrate on. Your anatomy needs some touching up - most importantly I think is to learn how various muscle groups twist and change as the body pose changes. you need to be able to do that convincingly. Also some of your poses seem stiff (I am not one to talk though) and some that feel off balance even though the shouldn't be.

On the bright side you line is constantly improving and I like the looseness with which you employ it. Once you nail your anatomy and poses, you will become a force to reckon with just due to your improving line work.

I am proud as always man, you've come a long way and you're going even further.
    cheers brother!

Wow man, great nudes in this last update! This one in particular, reminds me of Kent Williams! I'd love to see pages and pages of stuff like these, they show a lot of confidence in your line and they're boosting your anatomy experience points.
    +100!

Hey man, I haven't been here in forever, and it seems you keep getting better and better. It appears your starting to become more confident in you ability, whether or not the lines are wrong confidence is key, later you can analyze, rework and even fix your work later.

Make mistakes, HUGE ones, but learn forever

    keep it up man

hey man, haven't been here in whiles ><
Updates looking better, but you need to push more figure studies/dynamics and keep up with the life studies.

Your biggest issue right now are your lines. Very etchy stage and little to no control. Try this, grab a pencil and paper and just pencil about 50-100 clean strokes on random white paper before you start drawing. Do it once everyday like a pre exercise, it really does make you feel confident about starting your next drawing/piece. I also feel as if you might be holding back through fear, keep experimenting bud. The less thought and care you put into your work, the easier it is to find out your strengths and weaknesses.

    Cheers bruda!

Hey guys thanks for the reply,

Brenman-Man ....man....man nice to see you here. DO leave a proper crit later.I need it so bad.Take care for now.

BOOM!-Hey man nice seeing you here again. Thanks for the crit . I am trying to push myself with dynamics and anaotmy .ANd yeah , I do feel that my lines many times erratic, I think sometimes it is because of over coorection of the stiff lines that I produce. But I will try the excercise you mentioned.SOunds good. But I dont think I am afraid to experiment, I really love to try things that I get my hands on.
    Take care.

    SO the update.
ITs a first draft for a comic I am doing, a company has asked me to do a 10-15 page story for an anthology , so lets see.
I am not satisfied with the page.Especially the 5th and the 7th panels, they are really pulling the page down. I was going for a loose look but it seems it looks more like a looser look. But I do like the direction of the first 4 panels.and even though the 6th panels is dirty its also somewhat the way I wanted it .

shit man - you have been proper busy bhanu! great updates. love the sketches and paintings and experiments overload from the previous post. the comic in watercolour looks really really well too though man. no it doesn't have a lot of technical finesse, but you often don't need that. i think you tell the story pretty well with the pictures and you got a good consistent style going - with lots of balls. good variety of composition and perspective so far, zooming in and out etc - but, i would watch out for tangents. like the frame of the phone insert on the top of the page, it just touches the hand. give it space or make it overlap more. same thing with the top right panel (3rd panel) with the elbow of our man just touching the boarder of his frame - again, give it some space or make the arm so that you can cut it off more... love the buildings. look really powerful. and again - most important thing, i think you're communicating things really well with these. really looking forward to more man. keep us posted.

Hey Tensai , so great to see you here man.
Okay so I was an Idiot mentioning this, Tensai(Lok) Sent me a working scanner so that I could scan the shitty stuff that I make. Well , I will soon be uploading some stuff by it soon.

Tensai- Thanks for the insightful crit man, actually I was gonna revise the parts you mentioned, they were buggin me too. Will keep you posted for sure.....
    again thanks man.

    Okay so update time.....
Umm you know what I was doing a lot of thinking about this project and myu whole art too. And I came to a conclusion that I do too much subpar work even for my own skills, and I decided to only send this comic to publishers if I thought that this was good enough and if it was enjoyable enough.I would work for work on a page for as lonf as it may take.Just no half assed works.

    SO updates,

I did some revising in the first page,
first of all I wasnt happy with the last panel , not just the art but also the perspective, it wasnt telling the story properly. So I changed it a bit.

    THen the panel with buildings.
    I redid it twice,

and a roughie for the next page

a study from mind for a future page

    hand study

A couple of crow paintings,(0bviously inspired by KEnt williams)

so some updates.I finally the first page, the panels that it , I separated and worked more on less on all of them , now I have to paste them back.
Well I completely reworked the the last panel.the last one wasnt giving a good enough perspective into the story.

and for the 5th panel I picked this one

ANd I doodled a crow story(I am such a crow , if anything like that exists). You know what,I had wished to create an already created character itd definitely be spawn or crow..I love JO Barr for creating this peace of magic.
I so want to work on a crow story .I hope I do.
Well here are the b/w pages.

    ANd the first page colored.

    HA!
some people work their ass off to achieve some kind of vibe or style in their work.. and then there are people like you who seem to have this SOMETHING from the get go.

its cool to see the storytelling, i love the hand study page and the looseness of your buildings.
i´d thing it would be great to see you taking a HUGE canvas/board/anything, filling it with thousands of little inks.

Wow, I haven't been in here for a while. My bad, you've got some killer new stuff goin on!
These nudie studies are absoluetely killer man, your line confidence is blowin up! The Kent Williams inspired crow is rocking too, that guy really has brass balls when it comes to drawing/painting. These first painted pages have some very cool shapes goin on, though I think they would benefit from more contrast in the values to highlight what you wanna highlight.
    Awesome landscape. Really nice hands.
    Keep it up bro!

I did something that I consider wierd , atleast wierd for me.I became a character...pretty much.DOnt know what got over me but I just decided to do it.I am a spontaneous person, and do things out of the blue, but this was different.

    I became ..CROW.
    this to be exact.

the paint dripped that was kinda cool but then I tears came(the paint accidently went into my eye), and made the black paint even more fluid.

    Hehe.

    SO some updates.

    two more pages

    and two previous pages painted.

    Wierde week I tell you.

    hehehe
    COSPLAY ACTION!

on the comic stuff, do you work after a script?
if so, could you post it?
its kinda hard to follow your story sometiimes.. this could be because of lacking text.. so its easier for us to say smth about the storytelling if we now whats supposed to be going on.

the inkstuff is awesome and has soul, as always =)
