Its' free and it takes less than 10 seconds!
heres some stuff ive been working on, spans a couple years, ive never dumped a series of photos before so here goes i guess. ive finally decided to come out of hiding and get some feedback.
oh check out tomsvilans.com too for a very simple online portfolio of mine, due for a huge revamp soon.
a lot of what i do happens by accident and i dont know whether or not this is a good thing, these happy accidents. anyhow, hope you enjoy. release the dogs.
and if you have something to say, say it. dont le hold back.
5 (scanner fuckup but i liked it)
aaaand a few recent self portraits/photo manip.s because unfortunately i dont have a legion of models to work with. im particularly interested in feedback for the lighting in these ones.
have at it! any comments or critiques would be awesome!
1: I really love the color and lighting here, but I think some of the bottom may need to be cropped out.
3: Nice composition and DOF.
4: Really nice colors and the composition rocks as well.
6: I really like the colors, but I think a decent crop would make it 10 times better.
10, 11 & 13: Simply great
18: Really nice lighting and plus, it doesn't have the stupid textures on it.
Keep 'em coming!
eazym: thanks for taking a look dude!
purplerose: thanks for the critiques! some of the photos are appearing a bit brighter here at work than at home where i edited them.
some more from this past weekend (promo shoot for a local band):
I know the feeling, I've seen some stuff on 3 monitors and they look different on each one. Just a matter of trying to find the middle line in the critiques.
19: Simple but nice. Plus, it makes me laugh. It looks like he just woke up.
22: Really great mood and use of light and shadow. You could probably crop out the two little things sticking up at the bottom without effecting the image too much. Why/how is the liquid tilted??
23: There are some weird blurry things floating around. The one over the guys sleeve could probably be cloned out easily.
24: This is my fave out of the carnival ones. It's really funny and the composition is perfect. The highlights on the front guy's hand may be a bit overexposed though. #20 has a similar overexposure problem on the arms.
26: Another funny one, the lighting is perfect.
