Congrats to Prophet for winning challenge #15! Man, you've really been raking in the victories lately. Keep up the good work!
Anyone ages 13-19 may submit an entry at any time before the deadline, and any medium (sans photograghy) is allowed.
No descriptions allowed this time; for the sake of challenge, try to tell the whole story within the image by means of narrative illustration.
Please host your image on a remote image-hosting site instead of uploading it to the CA server. This makes it much easier to transfer it to the poll thread.
Scene: The Nightmare
Open to interpretation. Attempt to make it a full narrative scene, but keep in mind that imaginative creature and character design are often important aspects of this subject.

Again, slightly more than a week.
ooh níce topic!
I'll probably make mine very cliché.. A girl in bed, lying all crumpled up, eyes wide open, maybe a monster atacking her..
ah well, dunno..
I post this now in hopes that I will force myself to returning into regular entries into this, so, I'm in. And I think I'll go start on it now. Hmm.. right now there's a strong image burning in my head of a sort of nightmare a character in the Warriors series (yes, the one with the cats) had which had some rather vivid descriptive imagery. I think I'll go with that, as it seems to be burned into my brain at this moment.
See you all in the ring.
Heh, i'm royally frichen!-ed right now, I just signed for the 200 gestures TDome, and i just started my first semestre ever, but guess what? I WORK BETTER UNDER PRESSURES, CHEAP ASS HO'ES!
Seriously tho, I really think it's bout time to give those multy-win bitches some competittion, we're making it too easy for 'em! TIME FOR TEH WEAPON OF ULTIMATE DESTRUCTION - A FINISHED PIECE!!! pld:
Tremble in fear puny maggots!
Lewis, i propose a pact of darkness to you. I see you too like the topic, so why don't we both agree on finishing a piece this time? Signed in blood, with the casual eternal damnation in case someone pusses, deal mate?
P.S. My grandma is right - long hair means stupid person!(the hair steals nutritions and stuff from the brain!!!!) (I have long hair*HINTHINT*)
*cough*...wrong. You're both going down, gentlemen!Originally Posted by Evil_Sloth

Just an idea so far:
go Teen-erz!!!! wish I could play...sweet topic
To see the world in a grain of sand, and a heaven in a wildflower, hold infinity in the palm of your hand, and eternity in an hour.
I'm happy so far, I'm just taking it one small section at a time. I think I'm finally getting the hang of this computer art thing.
EDIT: I did a bit more on it, but.. yea.. now I can't stop thinking about my choice of colours and how close they are to what I think they are.. So it's still not really finnished...

Wow, I didn't even know there was a teen challenge arena. I'm totally cooking something up for this one, but no WIP, I wanna post it all finished at once

I'll try and finish it up a bit better this time o_O.
Here's two ideas. Let me know what you think is better if you can =).
So, I look at the pictures on another computer and... all the colours are diffrent. I can actually make out what james' picture is of (lookin pretty cool btw), and the grass of mine looks neon. Which leads me to wonder, was the colour on the other computer messed up? Or is the colour on my computer messed up?
So, before I go fiddling with the settings so I can be sure I'm actually painting with the colours I think I'm painting with, if you guys tell me if the grass in my picture is bright apple coloured or dark cucumber, and if the background looks more black or dark red, I'd really appreciate it.
Keng: Looking a bit neon green to me, the red is a deep burgundy.
Hope this helps^.
I tried a bit on this earlier this evening, but then after ten minutes my sis came in saying she really HAD to study her words on the computer so I had to stop.
Now I don't have much time left cos I need to get some sleep soon, so this is the result of real quick 10 min getting some ideas
I kinda like the warm shadows, cold moonlight makes a nice contrast.
I want the girls face very detailed, with nice highlights, hair and expression, and a few whisps of ghosts, to create an idea of the girl having company.
The bulb under the blankets is looking pretty weird at the moment, I'll shoot some reference photos for it, or mebbe I'll just stuff some pillows under a blanket and draw the blanket from life.

Hahahaha!! Zombie moose is running from the red blob monster! He's not so tough when he doesn't have his posse to back him up now is he?Originally Posted by invinciblewombat
In other news, an entry from myself is forthcoming.
Also, despite not being really nightmare-ish, j a k e ' s floating monster gets me every time I see it. I don't know exactly why though...
