Size your images down a little before you upload them; they're a bit big.

Do you have any life studies to show us? Figured drawings, studies of inanimate objects? It's tough to jump from drawing from your imagination to doing studies, but it's a great way to learn.

    Hope this site helps you

As the pattern gets more intricate and subtle being swept along is no longer enough.

I too am 13 and new to this site. I like your robot design, but i agree with Evxyza92 in that the shading is a bit funny.

in the robot the drawing its self has rought scratches as cloring , now what it confusing is that the shading is getting confused.i would reccomend drawing the outline first then deatils then the shading, do the shading on a circular back and forth motion varying in how hard you press, what you want to dois do the heavy shadows first then use what i told you over and over againuntil the desired effect is achieved, this is to clarify what i meant i read ur comment in my homepage.and oh yea im 14 one year off but ur doin better than i was last year

when you're composing a message, go to edit attachments to upload them. It'll basically walk you through, just make sure the images you're uploading are roughly appropriately sized.

    Hello Grundybug,
Try making your images 350 pixels high or wide, at a resolution of 72 dots per inch. That's what I use.

Also, you don't have to keep making new posts and deleting them if they don't work. You can edit your old posts - press the "edit" button and then press "go advanced". Once you've got the image size thing figured out, you can go put in image in your first post and that image will show up as an icon next to your post.

If you guys are interested in games, there's a link in my sig for you. . .

I think you are awesome, and I wish you the best in your endeavors, but I am tired of repeating myself, I am very busy with my new baby, and I am no longer a regular participant here, so please do not contact me to ask for advice on your career or education. All of the advice that I have to offer can already be found in the following links. Thank you.

Perspective 101, Concept Art 101, Games Industry info,Oil Paint info, Acrylic Paint info, my sketchbook.

i like the t shirt design but with your 3rd to last pic here i saw you did a dragon pic kinda difficult hah, i sadi this alot but the dragon is weird to draw since you need to mesh characteristics of diffferent real animals together and that proves to difficult to do, so hhere are some links since that your try was pretty good

GrundybuG's Sketchbook-faces, need crits, experimental pen sketch
alright here is a snake face note the nostrils at the end of the face a big dragon chraracteristic

GrundybuG's Sketchbook-faces, need crits, experimental pen sketchokay look at how the tiger face petrudes from the body note always have the dragons facepetrude outward the is no such thing as a flat face dragon

GrundybuG's Sketchbook-faces, need crits, experimental pen sketch
the face has a beak , now the most difficult thing i had to understand is that the dragon has a small beak and i mean small, so the beak is a smalll curve downward and i mean smalle

i aint bashing you when i post this but this will help bring out a realistic dragon, its your choice of you decide to use my advise or not but still i am trying to help you good luck keep it up

Hey Grundy - it isn't the best idea to say excatly how young you are on the internet. I suggest for your own safety that you change your sketchbook title.

    hey man welcome aboard,
Early bird gets the worm. Start practicing now man, you are so young. Listen to people here. start drawing from life, start copying the masters. STart reading books by andrew loomis, burne hogarth, bridgeman. Man if yo start now you gonna be kicking some serious ass when you are 18 or 19. I can bet on it. But practice is the key.
SO go on , draw. Oh I must go too.
    Take care.
