    Illustration Friday - Phobia

    This week topic is phobia.
So my take was not to show a phobia but try to interpret what it is and what it does to a people with a phobia.
It's a fear that is extreme and let's the person helpless.
The person on the drawing is naked so it seems more fragile.
Phoibia it's also a fear that borns and grows in our head, in our mind. And it does not gives us good thing so it's a dead tree growing in his head, with no fruits or leafs to give.
    Enjoy it!

Boredosketch is my blog so check it if you want to

i've edited the image so it become more readable that is a person

Yes it is, the tree grows out of his phobia, which his mind "created".

i actually didn't even notice the person until he said something. i don't know if that's how you want the piece to work or not, but might want to bring a little focus onto them somehow.

either way, i love it. would make a great poster or t-shirt.

Yes the person it's a little bit hidden, because it's like the phobia made him smaller, it controls her, makes her feel helpless. I like that people find out by herselfs in this peace, i guess it's a fun experience.
But i refer a person in my description. I've written it so people could understand it better. Maybe you should've read it with more attention.

I think sourgasm's point was that the piece would be stronger, if it was more readable without having to read a description.

when you read the description, your eye goes right towards the girl,
but if you do not(and most people won't by the way), your eye simply follows the shape of the tree, and might come across the girl .. or might not..

I like it, you have to stare at it abit before you notice her but i think that was the intention.

    good work.
