    Feeb - Lineamentum Insomnis

Thanks for stopping in. I'll post all kinds of stuff here. Great to have a reason to post. I've been virtually invisible to forums for over a year.

The goofy critter is a sketch I did in one of my sketchbooks for a dude who bought one. The dragon was for fun. The girl is a concept test I'm working on. See if I can get a job in games as a concept artist. Wish me luck?

Finished that concept test. Again- wish me luck. It's (the design) nothing special, but the test was specifically to design a Saints Row world character, emphasis on Hip Hop. I'm really happy with it, actually.

These are a little dated, but I'm bummed that I've given hardly any content here. I was showing someone some marker progression drawings I had done for an asshole publisher that never paid me (Whitesilver Publishing- Never work for them), and realized that I don't think I evern posted these anywhere (maybe I have, but if I did I forgot). That stops now. I had fun with these, as I'd work out the values in marker, then trace using my light table, and render the whole thing out in pencil. Took a while but I was really happy with the results, considering they were all from my head. I draw differently than when I start with marker, so that's why they're so particularly pleasing.

are those sketches prisma marker over pencil? that combo works really well.

Ahhh! Mike! I missed your sketches man. Great stuff. Those brown colored washes are markers or coffee? Looks good on your pencils mate. Like Jason said, i would like to see more concepts from you. Fully finished characters would be nice...take it easy mate!

Holy crap I just read up the comments on this page and I'm out to draw now. Talk about huge inspiration.

The great news is that I'm doing tons of production concept work, as I've been a full-time concept artist for over a year now. However, I did some "placeholder art" for our game for the UI (User Interface), and everyone went nuts at the company for it and I was offered the position of UI artist. I accepted, so that'll be what keeps me busy when we move into that full-time. Meanwhile I'm still a concept artist and loving it.

I have a lot of new stuff. I'll dig around, find it, scan it, and upload. Huge thanks for your awesome input. It's so exactly what I need to hear right now. I'll reply to everyone individually soon. Meanwhile I'm super hungry, and have to go forage for food.

Your grasp of the organic is amazing, and your wash-work is great! I would love to see this approach applied to a broader environment piece - you could do amazing things with valleys, caverns and mountains. Skrunch that! (mc)

Man I'm shit at updating. I'm also shit at doing personal work. Still, here's some recent poop. This is stuff I've done within the past week or so. I'll be producing more this weekend I hope.
